A clan don't mean much to me. It's just like a gang or a posse. You gotta spell it with a K to get it to mean anything. Or was that like what you were going for in the first place? Still, that most likely wouldn't offend me.

Nah seriously, I'm going through some shit. When you've spent your whole adult life defending and showing respect for people, and then you end up on a hate crime charge because the perpetually offended have some kind of a chip on their shoulder.

A clan is a scottish family dating back centuries. Nothing to do with The Wu Tang Klang or K-PAX or anything

 

They love it when someone gives them a reason be offended. I've had members tell me they go to clan meetings knowing full well they would merely hear people spouting utter bullshit and attacking each other as much as anyone else. Their entire world is either attack or submit and neither logic nor reason has anything to do with why they love it. During the 1990s the Southern Baptist preachers started competing with one another to see who could produce a more vitriolic sermon and they chased away half of their members. When asked about it one of them said they'll come back again once the preachers calm down again. In recent years young people have abandoned fundamentalist churches en mass complaining they've become nothing more than a political stump, but the preachers all said the same thing again.

By who you hate, by this are you truly known among such people and it really doesn't even matter who you hate so much as you hate them more. Lao Tzu said, "Habits are the end of honesty and compassion, the beginning of total confusion!"

 

I'm a nice guy, but I'm a bit of a surrealist, most of the time just a wise crack. Take me with a pinch of salt or just ignore me.

Most clan members and fundamentalists say the same thing, that they don't hate anyone and are only doing God's will and defending themselves against demons. What more in the name of love?

We all need to be very worried about political correctness. I've had this argument many times.

Political correctness has nothing to do with censorship which is politically incorrect. Its about voluntarilly using less offensive terminology and, considering that you have already caused confusion in this thread by referring to the "clan" you might think about what terminology you use.
