Here are some photos of the northern lights. It was a clear night with the temperature at about -35F.
I live just far enough north to occasionally experience the Northern Lights (usually after a solar flare) but it's nothing like you regularly experience Hotwater
Those are really cool pics, I used to sit on my porch and get high while watching the northern lights when I lived in Edmonton Canada a few years back, the lights sure are pretty and sometimes noisy! Bustramp
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow absolutly, positivily beautiful pictures
Freein : When the northern lights start dance'in , we put Collective Soul on and crank it up, open the windows and jump up and down. They seem to like it. Oh what the hell, we have a good time. .................................................Dennis.................................... Oh ya..Smoke a bowl....brings out the colours.......
that's amazingly awesome...I hope to one day be far enough north to see that for myself, but in the meantime here at the arse end of the southern hemisphere I'll have to content myself with that...wow.
I remember seeing displays when I lived in Maine- away from urban light interference. Those pictures are spectacular!
can't wrap my mind sometimes around the amazing things that exist naturally in the world. Beautiful pictures!
Yea, we put on the tunes, usually the dead or something of the same ilk, and instead of jumping up and down we tend to howl. They seem to like that too...... and the bowl is always warm.
Both are great choices. By the way am am sitting in a hotel In Rochester at this very moment. (or to be exact Henrietta). Can't wait to fly home tomorrow. Wanna come by and smoke me out? I've been out for the last week here.
Freein: If you have a layover in Anchorage, swing down to Seward. I'm not out. Got some Halibut for the BBQ and other Alaskan stuff..........Dennis....
