Our little Isaac was finally born on April 6th, 2007. He was born 6lbs. 14oz. but at his one week appointment was already 7lbs. 6oz.!! He's growing so fast! I am breastfeeding successfully, with much thanks to the LC's that helped me during my hospital recovery. No thanks to the stupid doctor who tried to suggest I supplement with formula because I mentioned to him that Isaac had some gas that seemed to be upsetting his tummy. Isaac was delivered via emergency c-section. It was a scary labor - I plan to post my labor story as soon as I have more spare time (which at this rate will be in about 18 years lol). I was really disappointed about having to have the c-section, I wasn't able to hold or feed him for almost 2 hours after his birth, but it possibly saved his life and thats the most important thing of course. He is such a great baby, sleeping well for mommy and breastfeeding like a champ. He gives this cute little excited noise whenever the booby is near, it is so funny. So far he is rarely fussy and loves to be snuggled. I could brag on him all day. I couldn't be happier or more in love with my little guy.
Many Congrats! He is adorable! Look at those cheeks already! I can't wait for our little guy to come (In July)! Good Luck to you, and may you recover fast!
aaahhh what a beautiful child... I too had c/section 8 years ago...I understand what you mean girl... Blessings to you and your family... xxxxx
what a little sweetie! Arg, I'm going to be pregnant forever, lol seeing that little cutie makes me so excited, lol
Aw, he's precious! Congrats on the new addition, Sera. I hope your recovery goes smooth and you have a happy healthy baby-moon.
He is beautiful. Congratulations! I've had two c/s, my first was emergency. It took lots of time to heal emotionally from the first one, and I still get a knot in my stomach when I hear of perfect natural births. But both my kids are alive and healthy because of c-sections, I was lucky to be able to hold and nurse them within a few minutes of giving birth too.
Yeah, the c/s was definitely a bummer. I had a bad reaction to some of the meds and was shaking and convulsing for almost 2 hours after the procedure. Can't hold the baby like that. Finally they gave me additional meds to stop the shaking after seeing that it wasn't going to stop on its own. I was really disappointed to have to go through a long labor and then have a c/s, but the baby was having some major (and very scary to hear on the monitor) heart decelerations that lasted minutes, and the last one the heart rate wouldn't go up at all until they tilted my bed so my feet were in the air and my head about on the ground - not very comfy if I say so myself - but his heart rate went up because of it. Can't really give birth to a baby like that, plus I was only at 4cm after almost 24hrs labor at that point. They didn't want to try pitocin because of the baby's heart rate so c/s was the only option. So I stayed like that until they prepped me for the surgery. I'll get around to posting the entire labor story soon, hopefully, but baby's hungry right now and duty calls!
oohh hes precious...sorry convention medicine got ahold of you, but heal your spirit...meditate sweetie and do some yoga..it helps quite a bit...HuGz
