So I got my hair all sectioned and backcombed Friday, And for the most part they're staying in pretty decent. However, there are a few that are tight at the roots but pretty thin near the bottom. And the back is pretty flat even though it's stayed sectioned off. Will the baby dreads that are tight at the roots but loose at the tips eventually even out or should I take them out and re-backcomb? Should I palmroll these often or will they round off by themselves?
Don't take them out, just recomb the tips if you feel they need it. They will all matt up eventually, nice to give them a little kick up the arse though Mine were all loopy and crazy, now they are all starting to round off on their own, and this is at nearly a year. Palm rolling will help short term, but when they get big and strong you'll notice they will start to round them selves off So I wouldn't worry about it ^^
Yeah I figured that they would round off eventually they just feel pancake flat and that's a little scary =p
that's pry because you sleep on your back? I noticed the side that I sleep on most has flatter locks, but they also seem to be maturing faster than the back, which I never sleep on. I think they'll even themselves out eventually, at least I hope mine will. I never palmroll my dreads though, seems like a waste of time to me but I could be wrong.
the back of my head is all flat,, but its really well matted... my right side (i hardly sleep on) isnt as matted or decent.. palm rolling isnt really that great, cause youll just sleep on them and flatten them again =]
