Has anyone here done it? Where did you go? What were your experiences?

I've backpacked around India, Nepal & Thailand before in 2005. Currently I'm in the Philippines backpacking around, I'm off to Malaysia after here. Where you from in the Philippines?

Yeah, India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia 2005-2006.

This year I'm thinking of Thailand, Laos, Burma, Vietnam and Philliphines, maybe teaching english along the way to extend my stay...

I travelled quite a bit through Asia. So far I have been to India, Bangladesh, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Tibet, Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Yeah, I think that is about it.

My experiences are personal, meaning I had some great times at places that other people hated and I disliked some places that other people loved.
All in all, travelling in Asia is awesome; inspiring, thought-provoking, tiring, educational, fun.
All countries and regions are different, so travelling and the experiences too are very different in the various countries/regions.

I live in Davao City. Have you ever been here? It's a lot safer than most people who've never gone out of Manila think.

Be a backpacker, you have to design your itinerary independently. So local maps are very important. You have to know some information of your destinations. If you visit China, you can view ww.chinatourmap.com , in the web, you can find China Railway maps , China Train Schedule, and you can referr to their itinerary and travel independently.

I haven't really tried backpacking from one country to another, but I have seen Morocco. And I think it's a great place to go backpacking.

That's what I'm guessing. This guy wandered into the Japan forum and threads and started spouting off about Morocco. We were all like...ummmmm we don't care!

Haha, he does it on every travel post. "Yes Outer Mongolia is nice I believe. So is Morocco, check out my blog, you should go there""!!

There's nearly more mention of Morocco in the Thailand forums than Thailand itself at this stage.

Lol, I went into a thread unrelated to travel...I think it was about sports, and this guy was like "Does anyone like Golf? Whilst I was in Morocco..."

I'm going to start posting things about Asia/Japan in his threads. Tis only fair that the African forum users get to know that there's other places out there too.
