ban freedom of speech

    ha ha, hello to you too. And yeah, you're right, this place is much better for that then many other places, and I understand why they banned many people though I didn't agree with it in many places. And I didn't even query the moderators, I was addressing it to the forum members in general. I think they just didn't want anyone to question bans (more work) and if we had a post on allowing the speaking of banned members it would be very likely the majority would believe in the allowance of it's questioning. I remember when anyone who had an opinion that was in the support of the war was automatically banned. This to me was a wee bit excessive. I mean, even if they weren't in our support, and we were supposed to be against war in general, it was (if nothing more) a good way to practice and clarify our points and opinions.

    Banning freedom of speech wouldn't go down with the public. Freedom of speech should be used responsibly and with care as we now enter an increasingly PC era.

    to me it has nothing to do with the increasing trends of political correctness, i see it as approaching sensitive topics sensitively. all freedoms come with responsibility. most definitely.
