I swam in the sea and went to a barbecue. What did you do? btw, I don't think these banks should be having holidays, they owe us!
I did a 20 hour shift on a fire tower watching people burning their own or other people's tents at Reading festival, and running around with fire extinguishers putting them out and as a result getting things thrown at me and people threatening me...
I got stung by nettles and bitten by insects following deer through the forest of dean and swore a lot
I went on a day trip to Hastings and visited the ruins of William the Conqueror's castle. Apparently the battle of Hastings wasn't actually fought at Hastings, it was at Battle. So it should really be called the Battle of Battle.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_holiday so it all went wrong after 1834 I think I would complain if I worked in a bank, it ain't exactly rock 'n' roll is it?
I worked in a bank. I questioned it, but I certainly didn't complain, lest someone important overhear me!
I cursed the banks for closing as I had to wait ANOTHER day for a cheque to clear. Therefore... I spent the day in twitching anticipation of spenderoonies only to find out on tuesday that the bank had lost my cheque! All in all a very bad bank holiday and a very stressful week.
I visited relatives, whom I'd never met. Turns out I'd lived round the corner from them for three years.
