Barefoot Britney

I'm sure many of you heard the stories a couple weeks ago about Britney Spears being photographed barefoot, once coming out of a gas station bathroom, and later that week going into one. The buzz is that her being barefoot in a bathroom is "trashy." I'm no big Britney Spears fan, but does anyone else think the public is being a bit too harsh? I've been in bathrooms barefoot before...

I thought this would be an interesting topic to hear people's thoughts.

 

I can't stand Britney, and what she stands for - commercial, manufacutred music all about image etc. and nothing to do with artistry. She represents a lot of things I don't like, and if going barefoot becomes part of her image then it'll give barefooting an even worse image than it already has in the eyes of many people.



A lot of barefooters seem to think "oh great, Britney's a barefooter too - we have an icon to set an example, etc. etc." but really Britney IS trashy already. She was ALWAYS trashy. So if she's now going barefoot she's going to make going barefoot a trashy thing, as it will become part of an image that was always trashy before hand.

So as far as I'm concerned this is a bad thing.

 

I don't like britney. As for this barefoot thing, I doubt it's going to have any lasting effects, everyone will forget about it in a couple of weeks time... if that.

 

OK, I've just done some research into this, and some of the comments being made by people about her... and it's all pathetic... It's just gossip mongers chatting bullshit about nothing.

I still don't like her, but I do think they are going over the top a bit.

What does Britney actually do for a living? Some people are actors who try to be singers. Others are singers who try to be actors. Britney is neither who tries to be both.

 

I'll have to agree here, this woman has no talent, just some slutty blonde that has to use whatever means to make her popular. A really bad role model for the younger generation.


BTW, she has ugly feet, trust me I've seen a picture of them.

 

The last time I saw Britney, she chose to do a rap tune with some rapper who had just gotten in trouble with the law.

Pop beauty BRITNEY SPEARS' smelly feet upset her fellow airplane passengers recently.

The TOXIC singer was flying from Los Angeles to New York with her husband KEVIN FEDERLINE and decided to make herself more comfortable by removing her shoes.

Unfortunately for her fellow passengers, Britney's feet caused such a stink it wasn't long before they were forced to complain to a stewardess.

One says, "The smell was unbelievable. One woman had a word with the air hostess, then three or four others complained.

"She looked pretty embarrassed as she tapped Britney on the shoulder and asked her very politely to put her shoes back on.

"Britney went red, laughed and said her shoes made her feet stink. Thankfully she put them on. There's no way we could have put up with that."

 

no! That makes me not want to be barefoot anymore! Yuck.

But my feet don't stink....

 

well, reading the article at least she was smart enough to figure out that her shoes made her feet stink.

 

why is it such a big deal... its no different to your or me or anyone barefooting. Just cos shes famous... i will give or take away no credit of hers for it.

So really, what's the big deal about her being Barefoot? Whatever some of your opinions of her may be, that does not mean that she is a disgrace to barefooters.

I can't stand her myself, but I don't care what the hell she does. If anything, I give her credit for going out in public barefoot. Most celeb's do not do this because they feel the need to be fake and fashionable.

Allot of barefooters don't like it when they get funny looks, or strange comments, or get treated rude. The people who don't care, and ignore it still talk about people who bitch at being barefoot in public. Well, I am afraid celebs go through all that bullshit too.

 

if i wear shoes, or sandals, my feet smell too.. but not when i am barefoot..just dirty thats all. no biggie, would much rather have dirty feet, then stinky feet

I don't care if she does or doesn't wear shoes. Her life her choice. I don't see why people are making a big deal about it. Samething when Carmen Diaz shoe strap, heel or whatever broke. People made a big deal about it and her going barefoot.

It is just amazing how ignorant some people are by making such a big deal about Britney going barefoot in a public restroom. Going barefoot is healthy and good for your feet. There is NO scientific or medical evidence whatsoever that anyone can "catch" some disease by going barefoot anywhere, public restroom or not. Anyone who thinks there's something unhealthy about it is just relying on myth, not facts. People who go barefoot at least wash their feet on a regular basis. When was the last time all you bare feet haters (misopodists) washed your shoes? Not only are shoes constantly filthy on the bottoms, the inside of shoes are a breeding ground for all kinds of fungus and bacteria. Not so with bare feet.

I guess this barefoot thing is just perfect for the Britney-haters out there. They can exploit people's ignorance and prejudice about barefooting as just one more negative thing that makes Britney "trashy." Let's face it, she's from the South and has an accent, she isn't very well educated, and her ill-conceived quickie marriage and annulment did kind of make her look stupid. So someone like that just has no right to be beautiful, talented, sexy, and have music topping the charts for years, right? Now we find out that she not only goes barefoot in public, she would actually go to a place where food is served - and worst of all, she would actually go barefoot in a public restroom. She is just a horrible, horrible person, and people need to realize that so they will stop liking her and her music.

Yeah, right.

Well, the truth is she has a lot of guts to go barefoot in public knowing she is always being watched and photographed. She's actually a lot smarter than most of you, because she apparently feels that going barefoot is just no big deal and not harmful in any way. And regardless of whether you like her as a person or not, you cannot deny her talent - well maybe you can, but you're just fooling yourself if you do. Isn't that called "sour grapes"?

I just hope some of these recent ignorant misopodistic comments do not deter Britney from continuing to go barefoot in public whenever and wherever she feels like it.
