Howdy, folks This will constitute my first post in these forums, so I thought I'd post it here in the Barefoot category, since that's a central part of my lifestyle. I've posted in the past to other (unnamed) forums which deal with barefooting living, but have run up against some very controlling moderators which would delete totally non-offensive posts simply due to the fact that they did not agree with the moderator's opinion on the subject. After a couple of days of lurking, I've come to the conclusion that these forums are much more (sometimes shockingly so) open and so have decided to spend some time here in order to discuss the barefoot lifestyle as well as other aspects of "hippie-dom" with like-minded individuals. Thanks in advance to the moderators and admins for their hard work and dedication in supporting such a large and diverse community. I hope that mine will be a long and pleasant stay.
welcome to the forum. yes we are very open at times which is one of the things I love about it. feel free to post any barefooting idea, trips or ideas peace, bob
Hi, and welcome. I'm actually part of another barefooting group, which I will also not name, where I feel the conversations are a little too restricted. (Posts in that group MUST be barefoot-related.) I continue to stay in the other group, simply because I know there are real people behind the posts, and I might actually come across some useful info regarding confrontations. In this group, the postings are more flexible in content. We know why we come here, and who cares if a thread strays once in a while? I feel more comfortable within this group as far as managing my posts. Anyway, welcome aboard.
Thanks for the welcome, everyone! It's always enjoyable to "talk story" about the barefoot lifestyle, and I'm honored to be considered a member of "Team Barefoot"! And speaking of wandering posts, it's banana harvest time right now and man, does banana juice stain the bottom of your feet! Nothing like Micronesia bananas, however; we currently have 8 of the 16 common varieties planted.
