I've run the gauntlet of "hairstyles" for my private bits, from completely natural to trimmed and now, finally, to totally bare. Shaving irritates me to the nth degree, however. I get little bumps nearly every time, and I've tried nearly everything. I've attempted to soothe my skin by using blunt razors, fresh razors, expensive fruity shaving cream, sensitive-skin scent-free shaving cream, even hair conditioner (on the advice of a friend)....Nothing has worked. The irritation comes back every time, and it's making me a little embarassed. Now, I was in Bath and Body Works recently, and I saw a little blue box. It cost twenty dollars and advertised itself as an effective way to wax the bikini area, without strips or pain. Has anyone tried this, or any other self-waxing kit, for your nether regions? Did it hurt, and was it hard to use - and most importantly, how effective was it and how long did the smoothness last?
I've never tried it. I guess the only way you would know is if you just buy it and give it a try. For the little bumps just use lotion, that usually work for me.
I tried waxing my own snatch and it turned out horribly. It was only completely smooth for a little over a week. When the hair started growing back it irritated the living shit out of me. It also hurt so bad I couldn't even think about going anywhere near my lips. I got the front of it.. missed a few spots.. and gave up. I hear that razorless veet shit is pretty good.
Holding a warm, wet cloth on the area for 10 minutes a few times a day helps a lot with the bumps/redness, just so you know
