UPDATE 7/16: Syrian Generals Defect enmasse! Assad Warned against moving anymore WMD! General Assassinated in Allepo.

UPDATE 6/29: It appears the Western powers are ready to attack Syria tomorrow if the talks between Hillary Clinton and the Russian foreign minister fail.

Unconfirmed reports have said that British Special forces have entered Syria from Turkey with the goal of setting up a safe zone in Syria along the Turkish border for refugees. Meanwhile reports also indicate that President Bashar Assad's Palace compound is under attack. Also President Obama is now reconsidering his previous reluctance to attack Syria.

All this is happening as Syria's allies rush to its defense. Chinese and Iranian warships are on their way to Syria to engage in war games with the Syrians and Russians. But it looks like it's no longer going to be a "game".

Apparently the downing of the Turkish plane on Friday started in motion a whole chain reaction from Turkey, the US and NATO. Turkey has requested NATO's assistance as it believes it is being threatened by Syrian forces.

It seems to me that the Turks and others have been testing Syria's new military capabilities since they've been upgraded by the Russians over the past few months.

The defection of the Syrian pilot who took his MIG-21 to Jordan, and the subsequent grounding of all Syrian planes, may indicate that Syria air defenses may have been compromised. In other words the West may have some key codes used by the Syrians, and thus they are afraid to fly at all. This could be window the West has been waiting for. They don't want to go up against Syria's air force and anti-aircraft weapons, the latest from Russia.

I see nothing about this anywhere, so it's either bullshit or somehow managing to stay off the radar. One or the other.

The article states Brit. special forces in Turkey since Feb.

Around the same time American special forces seen in Jordan , I think ?

This must of happened today BEFORE the N.A.T.O. consultation in Brussels with Turkey ?

There's a new (unconfirmed) report saying that it was a RUSSIAN SHIP in the port of Latakia that downed the Turkish jet. That would be an interesting twist if true.

The Russians are now claiming that Iran will never get a nuclear weapon because the Russians will see to it. They claim it's not in their own interests to allow Iran to get nukes, which I believe and always wondered about. The Russians have their hands full with their own terrorists, and certainly don't want any terror group to get their hands on nuclear weapons.

As far as British special forces goes, yes they've been helping on the ground with communications equipment and in fact this recent incursion by them was for the purpose of bringing more secure communications equipment to the Free Syrian Army.

It seems there's this ongoing cyberwar that keeps making communications equipment obsolete, requiring newer, more secure equip almost every month. It's the Russians vs the US and Israeli spies stealing each others passwords, data and technology.

It's still Spy vs Spy! And you thought the cold war was long over... it's heating up big time now.
