Women really are vicious on each other, the fact a majority in both genders think the rape victim should take blame is bad enough by itself, but jesus men are actually less judgmental on rape victims then women are.

    Jesus fuck

i suppose in some ways it's a response to women acting like idiots: getting hammered drunk and just wanting to make out with a guy, not fuck him. no, the rapist shouldn't feel entitled to force himself on her just because she's stupid.

Women are really fucking dumb sometimes. Sure it's in their nature to do anything for attention, but they do sometimes end up exposing themselves to the wrong people.

I think rapists are terrible and should be burnt or possibly something worse for what they do... but they know who their easy targets are, and those who make themselves purposely vulnerable due to their stupidity and need for attention.

In some cases women are just dumb and go to bed with them but to put them together as a whole is really stupid. Its really not the victims fault, you dont know if the perv slipped something in her drink or what.

Ive seen it happen in bars. women ignoring the creep even WHEN they are pretty drunk, and they turn and the creep puts something in there. Which is mostly the case

and btw mr hnw. Its not in all women nature to beg for attention. You talk about insecure women when you wanna talk about that. Sometimes most women get attention they dont want :)

This is where I have to call bull shit! I know this is not a perfect world nor will it ever be. people should be decent enough not to force sex upon a person no matter what. doesn't matter how she's dressed, if she's drunk, or is "being a tease" No man has any right to force himself upon any woman. If I see anyone doing this, I will shoot them. rape is a crime and in my book should be punishable by death by any means. "Those who do not punish evil, command it to be done"-Leonardo Divinci.

I had a friend accused of rape before, it went to court and everything, she was drunk as fuck and was with him the whole night, there was nothing wrong done on his part. He woke up to her crying and telling him to get out of her house.

I didnt have to testify in the end but I came close. She was found to have no GBH (which she accused him of) in her system or any other date rape drug, she was just drunk as fuck and couldnt control herself, thats happened to a few people I know but that was the only one that went to court. The figures there are definitely too harsh on women but it false rape claims happen a ridiculous ammount, and thats a serious accusation. Women should be very careful before throwing it around but having said that no matter what the circumstances that accusation should be taken very seriously

with freedom comes risk. it's naive to think that women can run around and do whatever they like and not face any risks at all. there's a lotta vicious bastards out there and to forget it because you're a modern, free, sexually active woman is plain stupid. i've got two daughters to raise. i'm not going to fill them full of "it's your right" without teaching them a thing or two about safety and wingmen. i can't tell you how many times i had to be babysitter to a buncha drunk sluts who start out the night with "please don't let me sleep with anyone" only to drape themselves across any guy who looks twice at them. you know what? i don't bother with that nonsense anymore. if you don't want a friend to watch your back, then it's your ass.

yeah, i'm personally ticked off on the entire thing.

While Rape is never acceptable, no matter the situation, some behaviors are riskier than others. This can be an evil world we live in. There are things we do to reduce risk and things we do that amplify risk. I think women, as well as anybody else should be aware of these risks and practice reducing these risks, be it behavior that would lend itself to rape or anything else.

Exactly. In a perfect world we could all do whatever and be perfectly safe. But we don't live in that world and we have to be careful. But saying that rape victims should take the blame is going a little too far for me.

Speaking from personal experience, a guy had sex with me when I didn't want it but I was super drunk and let him into my apartment and I wanted to make out with him. Obviously he should have then left when it was obviously I didn't want it to go that far, but I should have been smarter and not let him into my place at all. So I blame myself as well as him. So now I act much more responsibly.

Oh, and I disagree that men are less judgmental than women. I have definitely met more men that think rape victims are to blame than I have women who think that.

well, it's like when I get into a fight at a bar or party that I know I should not have gone to. Well, I can damn sure say I did nothing wrong and he just hit me. Now those are the actual "facts" of the case but I knew before I went that this could and/or would happen. I could have gone somewhere else and have been perfectly safe but I chose to put myself in harms way. Is he wrong for hitting me? You goddamn right he is and will likely pay a heavy price for doing so. Is it my fault?? partly, yes. Could I have done something to have prevented it? Absolutely.

I've gone walking outside by myself at night out of pure defiance. I hate that a man could do something like that and I "can't". I have always been a fairly cautious person but that particular fact has been hard to accept. At the risk of sounding half my age: it's not fair!

I don't know the reason any woman would be so hard on another when it comes to this subject. Perhaps obligation to the most vicious and random attack victims. I am sure what they have to say makes sense as for perspectives and scenarios but rape is rape. If you're asking for it, it's not rape.

i have no end of sympathy for women who've been attacked and damaged, but still, no end of frustration for women who do incredibly stupid shit like they don't know it's a risk. damn, man, take care of yourselves!!

The cops around here throw away most complaints of rape now

Girls cry rape, when truthfully they either just got too pissed or simply lied. It's a nasty, nasty word that I think women should be more responsible using.

I hate that the general view is that the person is a victim, when the whole story is not know. A friend of mine last two years ago went to jail because his girlfriend cried rape. Whilst he was in jail she confessed to lying, like EVERYBODY knew she was. She was let go and given a slap on the wrist and he remained to continue his sentence.

I have sympathy for those general cases, but I just don't believe rape happens as often as people think. I have been pissed and had women force themselves on me, I was drunk and frankly I don't think they realized they were doing too much wrong.

it does dilute the extreme seriousness of rape to the point that it just does not get taken as serious as it should anymore.
