    good morning everyone!!

I finally got around to getting a bead loom two days ago and have been experimenting with different thread and bead sizes and finally got my first dread cuff made :) i will post pictures later, my digital camera isnt very good at capturing jewelry!!

I ruined the first two because i used this waxed string and I couldnt knot it to save my life but I started using regulare quilting thread and it worked perfectly....

really???? awesome i will have to try it!! the stuff that came with the loom was crappy and i couldnt tie it at all without it slipping! I bet dental floss is cheaper than my quilting thread too =) thanks so much!

_How about instead of trying to knot it, burn it. Usually waxed string when burned forms a little 'ball' that is secure. I used to to that back in school.

I am also experimenting with jewerly making. I will post my results as soon as I finish one of my pieces.

FunkyFresh, if you have a hobby lobby near you, see if they have the "9 pack" of beading thread... it's like 2 bucks, and you get 9 large bobbins of thread. It works very well. I tend to use standard bead thread, and only wax my weaving thread to make it easier to place the beads.

Wonder Girl..... I do a lot of stuff, just not well!!!!! Thanks though!!!! HAHAHAHA.

Funky, I started beading on a loom first, but lately have been blowing HUGE chunks of my paycheck on bigger beads. I keep making things with like $15-25 worth of beads in them with the intention of selling them, but my wife keeps snagging them and won't give them up!!!!
