there once was a beautiful Mosque down the street from my house in Davao City, Philippines. Every morning, I would awaken to hear the call to worship and smile and it's beauty. The people who frequented the Mosque were always very friendly to me, even though I obviously didn't belong in their country or to their religion. They always took the time to talk to me and answer any questions I had about their religion. Several of them invited me to dine at their house with their wives and children. I remember it very fondly.

It was firebombed and shot full of holes by mortar shells a couple years after I left the country.
