Beers/Liquors of choice

Yea it's a stoner forum but a good deal of us drink like fishes too, so what's your drug of choice when it comes to alcohol.

For beer, if I wanna get really drunk and there's going to numerous other people involved I go with basically anything light. Bud light is decent, though I prefer Coors light. Busch is just ugh, but it's drinkable. And if we really need to get as much alcohol as possible out of our beer then natty ice.

If I want good beer for myself though it's always Guinness for the win. Blue Moon is a close 2nd on my list. Sam Adams, Becks, Heneiken, Indian pale ale all deserve an honorable mention. Problem with the good deal of beers that taste awesome though is they're heavy as shit in your stomach and don't make for good getting wasted drinks.

As far as liquor, I'm a whiskey/vodka person. Vodka is just amazing in the fact you can mix it into anything. There's alot of good liquors I love but one takes the cake, it's all about that southern hospitality and southern comfort.

 

I wont get started on beer, but if relayer pops his head in, ditto to what he said.


but liquor. Bourbon FTW!! Especially woodford reserve. And to clarify; bourbon is made in all of kentucky not just bourbon county, and it is made only in kentucky. I spent an hour trying to explain this to these kids at all good. they simply didnt comprehend.

anheuser-busch selling out has fucked me over in the cheap beer category, i refuse to purchase anything bud or busch now b/c of that but that only leaves coor's (i refuse), miller (i refuse), and natural (oh god)

not really a beer fan. i like a fruity mixed drink. one of my favorite is blueberry stoli and sprite.

 

If I'm drinkin beer, it's some kind of malt liquor, 9 times out of 10. Preferably, Steel Reserve or Colt 45 or Schlitz High Gravity or Olde English HG-800. All pretty potent, and cheap as hell. haha I've also been drinking Joose, which is 9.9%abv and tastes more like a screwdriver than a beer, but it's $3 for a 23.5oz can.

Though I sometimes drink some of each beer that I listed, I usually stick to the Steel Reserve in the 24oz black cans, as it gives you the most bang for your buck at $1 each(8.1%abv). One 24oz can of Steel Reserve is enough to get a decent buzz. 3 of them will have you fukt up as shit.

I rarely drink liquor anymore, but when I do, it's usually some kind of vodka or whiskey. I recently tried Fris vodka, which is pretty fookin decent. Mr. Boston vodka also kicks some major ass, as far as getting to the point of falling on your face. haha

I've always been a fan of Hpnotiq, when I want something that tastes good, but also gets the job done. It is perfect for a nice laid back feeling, without getting shitfaced. A liter of Hpnotiq and a couple of Steel Reserves is a wonderful combination for one person to have a nice night

landshark is up on my list, and some other micro brews. not all to into beers because it's almost always light beer; and for light beers, bud light.

as for liquors, vodka is where it's at. favorite is jean-marc xo, but get chopin most of the time($30 bottles vs. $65).

and am i the only one that thinks grey goose tastes like shit, like worse than absolute.

 

Favorite beers are Lionshead, Knights Head, Molson Gold, Miller High Life, or Natty. I don't really drink liquor unless I have to. More of a beer guy, but if its a celebration, I'll have some buca, or if available, absinthe.

I'm surprised by how many people like cheap beers and light beers. I've honestly never met anybody who liked PBR or Natty anything. I drink beer because I like the taste, I don't like many light beers either and I have no chance of getting drunk drinking beer, I just get full unless I'm drinking hard liquor.

For drunken shenanigans I stick to triple distilled Smirnoff vodka and Bacardi 151.
