before and after - 10 months now

pre-dreads



10 months - they have shrunk like crazy!! (you can see my 5 dread congo in the back)

 

they look really really cool, i think they go through phrases (or mine do) or shrinking then growing again its really strange

i used a crochet hook. i iniially wsn't going to maintain them, but i got bored one day and did it. you basically get a 1.30 size hook, stick it in the dread facing diaganollay down (about 1 centimeter from the bottom), wrap the loose hairs around the hook and pull it into the dread. voila! rounded tips. youc an also use it to pull in the loose hairs along the dread itself

thats what i call a really good natural looking dreadlock. im stunned btw, coz i guess you only backcombed them and palm rolled yeah ? They look tight and i always prefered fat dreads, so yours are perfect
