The Simpsons! Because it's so cleverly satirical, and it just rocks!

I don't know, I thought they started showing in the late '80s. I know that they showed really short Simpson animations during comercial breaks for quite a while before they started making the full length episodes.

Dude! I totally forgot about The Simpsons. I don't really classify them as Late 80's- Early 90's because it's still on the air. :)

    Peace

The Simpsons( the series) aired first in 1989. Prior to that it aired (as animated shorts) on The Tracy Ullman Show as early as circa 1987.

Weee, more fun to feed my nostalgia monster. Some of my favorite 80's-90's cartoons were:

    Ewoks
    Trap Door
Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (Yeah, for some reason, they were HERO as opposed to Ninja in the UK...odd, I know)
    Heathcliff
All the Don Bluth movies (Land Before Time, Secret of NIMH, An America Tail, etc)
    Last Unicorn
