My father says it's LA Woman. I might have to agree. But I know I get off to driving fast to Heartbreaker by Zep. Maybe we should just get rid of the cars all together.
Jazz music is driving music. Drives ya on the road, drives ya through life. Give me some fast paced jazz and a wheel... I'll take ya places man, I'll take ya places.
Ramblin Man is EASILY the best driving song. but of the options given i'll have to go with Midnight Rider. If I was to make a mixtape For the sole purpose of having something to listen to while i was driving it would definitely have both of those songs on it. Totally off subject, I loved the way Rob Zombie utilized it in The Devil's Rejects when Baby and Otis are escaping from the police. I can't help but think of sheri moon's ass everytime i hear that song now.
Off that list, Heartbreaker. But my favorite driving song is "Already Gone" by The Eagles. I'm not even a big Eagles fan, but that song makes me want to drive down the highway until the car breaks! And some laid back Tom Petty stuff.
Your father is a very intelligent man. Two songs that aren't on your list though that I couldn't go on a road trip without are La Grange - ZZ Top and Radar Love - Golden Earring
Truckin... dont know why you wouldn't have that there. and we listened to touch of gray going to Seattle, pretty good. i haven't listened to tom petty on the road but my friend says his dad played it when they went to San Fran all the time, next road trip i guess.
i tend to enjoy listening to 'nails' when i'm driving. that way you have a whole cd to of listening to keep you in your 'zone'. but that might just be me.
