what do you mean exactly? what instrument sounds the best? sorry im stoned right now, hahaha. Don't say my name bassplaya if you know who this is
I can't pick just one or two, since there are SO MANY fantastic instrumental pieces out there today. I'm a BIG fan of instrumental rock myself. Below is a list of some of my favorite instrumental tunes... By Joe Satriani: - Surfing With The Alien - Always With Me, Always With You - Flying In A Blue Dream By Yngwie J.Malmsteen: - Far Beyond The Sun - Black Star - Crying - Trilogy Suite OP.5 By Steve Vai: - For The Love Of God - Sisters - Tender Surrender - There's A Fire In The House - Building The Church By Eric Johnson: - Cliffs Of Dover By Dream Theater: - Erotomania - Overture 1928 By Jordan Rudess: - Quantum Soup By The Ventures: - Pipeline ...to name a few of many....
haha oh ya!! forget about the ventures! all there stuff is great, pipeline definitly one of the best. thanks for all those, A_T
Oh, don't mention it, bassplaya. The Ventures are awesome! Speaking of surf music, Dick Dale is also a great surf guitarist. I just realized I forgot to include Joe Satriani's "Summer Song" on the list. That's like one of the Satch classics. Another fabulous player I forgot to mention is Jeff Beck. Pieces like "Where were you" and his version of "The Pump" are amazing. There's also Larry Carlton whose "Room 335" is considered to be one of the fusion masterpieces. Incidentally, Larry and Steve Lukather did a version of "The Pump" during their collaborative live event recorded in Japan, and both of their performances are quite fantastic.
ok here we go Pink Floyd: Echoes, Atom Heart Mother(kinda instrumental) and of course Metallicas Call Of Ktulu. Orion is ok...just wears on ur nerves.
Well, some instrumental songs have subtle usage of vocals. Steve Vai's "Touching Tongues" or "Taurus Bulba" would be a good example, I'd say.
ya i guess. god bless the children of the beast by motley crue would probly be considered an instrumental, even tho there is words, just chanting "god bless the children of the beast" over and over
if i had to pick ONE out of all the instrumentals i've heard, it'd definitely without a doubt be this one.
Anesthesia - Metallica Call Of Ktulu - Metallica Orion - Metallica To Live Is To Die - Metallica Crystal Ann - Annihilator Sleeping Village - Black Sabbath 1776 - Iced Earth Moby Dick - Led Zeppelin Evil Thrill - Marty Friedman Absolution - Megadeth Planet Gemini - Michael Angelo Dee - Ozzy (Randy) - if you count things under 1 minute All of The Tallywood String Quartet's Remakes Icarus` Dream Suite Opus 4 - Yngwie Malmsteen I'm forgetting some, I know it.. And yeah, thats quite a few anyway..
Hecate Enthroned-Beneath A December Twilight Quo Vadis-Tunnel Effect Kreator-Servant In Heaven,King In Hell The outro to Scariot-Tongueless God is the best bass piece ever.
I'm not fond of Drone. Emperor - The wanderer / Opus a Satana Xasthur - Walker of dissonant worlds (at least I THINK that's instrumental...) Ancient Rites' interludes like Avondland, The return etc. Marduk - Echoes from the past Iced Earth - 1776 Can't think of any more right now...
