? You're posting images that are one sided ... you HAVE NOT posted where those images came from..and WHAT the back story to them is/was..

Both those boys..should not be subjected to that .. I don't think that first image is that fair though.. like i said Cs is just posting images with no context..wrong wrong wrong...I think CS gets my message by now though

I did read it several times and then again several times..

Possibly a unfair comment by myself [unusual knee jerk reaction from myself].... i'll admit that.. i should have said their is no torture within those pictures..AND LEFT IT AT THAT.

I know... i do think these kinds of images are usefull.. but should not be used to convey something that is not their.. We all appreciate some soldiers are heavy handed and some go over the line.. to me this is not occuring within these pictures...CS is slightly manipulating these images.. i guess it depends how sensitive you are.. Clearly we only see a portion of what is occuring..thats all i am saying.. I don't mean to dismiss these images..

Why do i feel if i posted something contary..it would not quite go down the same way.. limitations of what is acceptable within this site i suppose.. oh well.. it's a small price to pay...not quite my thing anyway.

You show a image of somebody being restrained..and then wish for me to decry the US troops.. ?.. I know where you are comeing from and the extreme measures you use... so we won't have the same response as each othe..i'm afraid.

this also occurs (obviously) with network news here in america. ABC, C-BS, NBC, FOX news...they all show only what they are permitted to show, with undertones of a certain political bias, to influence their respective audiences; again, this is under close watch of the CIA and FCC. You'll never see the pictures of american soldier's bodies recovered, or hear the reports of soldiers commiting suicides, so many people are naively impervious to the other things that go on; but of course, you will see children and families greeting the soldiers with open arms and smiles, because it's good for national PR, and it keeps people thinking that we're over there doing good, and succeeding.
when the "war" was underway back in 2003, many children were interviewed (and probably told what to say, as they have limited scope of war) and said lots of cliche sentiment, obviously to sway public opinion. children are impressionable, and adults coddle over their points of view, especially if it simply reflects theirs.

meanwhile, if you watch BBC news, you see a bigger picture of what's going on out there than say, C-BS nightly news.

And what it was? Suspected suspected i.e. phobia, they shouldn't treat suspected people this way, I don't think the US will let the media to take photos for non-suspected people (the real terrorists) in this way! Rarely, and mostly they don't let all photographers to do so =)

Spin is just how these broadcasters work.. if they spoke like me they would be condemmed as ''apologists' and if they went to far over the other way.. i suppose it would be ''saddam supporters''.. It deffinitly is how you percieve what is being said..and how it either rings true or you just donm't believe it.

Of course you won't see any ''body shots'' either of soldiers or for the most part [i can only think of one e.g] of killing ...what would that serve ''this war is wrong'' pander to that mentality ?..why ?. is not my POV just as valid.

I can't fully comment on americas TV output..not living their.. The BBC are not flawless but we have quite a broad output from them i agree.. don't you have c-span [what am i saying i know you do].. wich is the same as http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/bbc_parliament/3005447.stm

The BBC are a little more cautious and after their spat with the goverment..it has to be said.

HEY you! did they make any investigations, they've just captured or catched them! they don't have the right to treat them this way!!!! US is barking about the human rights yet US is the one who is breaking the laws! Oh, Come on! it is really stupid to discuss such things over and over again. ​

It is harsh..it is not all being lost on me Mr stevens..it's not phobia Mr stevens...it's them doing a job..images that can be pulled from all types of scenarios.. it is emotionaly cold..nothing more.

We are not on the same page till i know the source of those images.. i just have to believe your presumptions..
