Best "series" games?

What do you guys think is the best video game "series".

By series I mean games where they made more then one game for.

Examples are: Grand Theft Auto series, Mario series, Tom Clancy series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games, etc.


I personally like the Grand Theft Auto games and the Twisted Metal games.

 

Tekken are my favourite game series, then probably grand theft auto, resident evil, dynasty warriors, final fantasy, soul caliber.

yeah twisted metal was great, and GTA is just legendary. elder scrolls are cool, so is metal gear solid, need for speed, gran turismo, manhunt, syphon filter, residnt evil.

every game in Zelda was pretty awesome... and the later resident evil ones are pretty good too. Oh and super smash bros

Zelda, Metroid, GTA

 

Most mine have been said. Zelda, gta, resident evil, serious sam,banjo kazooie, halo, all mario, final fantasy, call of duty, Juiced, Warcraft/diablo, the elder scroll series and some I can't think of, lol.

splinter cell, the elder scrolls, zelda (definitely #1), halo, super smash bros

 

its a 3-way tie between Final Fantasy, Zelda and Resident Evil. Tekken is pretty insane also.

GTA , Guitar Hero, not really a series but the genre/series of star wars-most have been pretty good

 

half life zelda and gran turismo series, zelda being #1 for me

 

police quest, leisure suit larry, kings quest & space quest where by far the best series games ever invented then again im bias as i think old school games are much better than anything made these days

 

oh, and forgot arcade games...the house of the dead series and time crisis.

i dont know how people can say Resident Evil cause the first one i bought i quit after one minute cause the controls where retarded.

 

Simcity FTW. I've been playing one version or another pretty much my entire life, and it's still fun. I guess the open-ended sandbox type games appeal the most to me though, i don't like feeling like i'm working when i play a video game (my biggest complaint with GTA:SA was that you had to sit and mash a button for hours to beef up your character, and in the end it just finishes), i like to feel like i'm crafting and creating something.

 

Final Fantasy by far. Its the only series that does not bore me and the games just get better and better. Decent storylines and colorful characters, and requires a little bit of thinking.

I like Medal of Honour too except for Pacific Assault, and I have always been partial to Zelda.
