ok finaly, an original thread idea..lol i think anyway
i have never seen this discussed annyway.

ive been using my sis's blowdryer lately, i never used 1 at all, but in winter i hate being cold n wet for 3 days

this dryer though still takes all day to dry..i dont do it to9o thourough though, just every now and then blow out some of the damper areas

well today she says to me that shes gonna get me a new hairdryer so i wont be hogging hers all the time ands im wondering whats the best type to use..
im almost tempted to see if i can find 1 like i had way back when (and was an antique at that time too) that had like a bag like thing that fit over your hair with a hoze attached to the blower in a suitecase like thing
that way i could just stuff my dreads in it turn it on leave it go an hour or 2 and should do the trick..

but since i havent seen anything like that in ..hmm30 years maybe what do u thinks the best type for drying dreads i could find now
what do u use why do u like it
keep in mind i got at least 4 times as much hair as most of u
    (and im twice as lazy)

    so..any suggestions?

ps..i normaly air dry even if it takes 3 days
but in winter that can really suck
i washed my dreads 9 almost 10 hours ago and still shivering (and i turned the heat up too)

so..i want something tghst will dry it pretty fast without doing too much heat dammage..maybe something thast can dry a large area of hair at a time..
and no i cant afford a jet engine off a 747..although i bet that would dry it quick

i did hear about those ones with the bags on them, its like...some type of bonnet dryer or something. they used to use them back in the day when all the ladies had beehive hair. but you'd need a very big bag to fit all yer dreads in it!:p

yea the 1 we had was at least from the 60's...if not the 30's

it had a fairly good size bag on it i think..bouyt theze of a decent tam
but might be likl too tightly packed in there to dry real wekll i dunno

i just want something that will work well if im gonna blow money on it
b4 this 1 i only used 1 othger..and 2nd time i usedit it blew up in my hand before i wss 1/2 way done.

what i usually do is sit down in front of an average sized fan on the fastest setting and change positions every once in a while

    ive actualy concidered that

i dont use a towel anymore tho..lost em all years ago..but akso cxause alreadty got too much fuzz n stuff trapped in dreads..lol
thougght the shamwow might be worth a try..

well officialy 12 hours later ..not so coldnow but still plenty of damp spots
all the thicker dreasds are still pretty damp they just never wanna dry

Ok I've got my inventing hat on now. For your miles of dreads, you need to rig up a solar dryer somehow by a window, so you can sit indoors but still get the sun (maybe a heat lamp of some sort could also work if there's no sun?), and lay your dreads along inside it. I haven't really thought through the logistics yet, as you can probably tell lol

    hmmmm
i maybe moving to the midwest soon
hoping that within a yesar or so we may find a way to grt land in the montasins and build an earthship or adobe hwith both asctive and pasive solar and maybe a waterfall instead of airconditioning for summer
so yea a solar haitr dryer would be something id love to figure out.

amy. for a sometimes ditsy lil weirdo sometimes your briliant and totaly loveable (the ditsy weirdo parts very lovable too please acceopt thast as a compliment not an insult..i love yoiur personality..ya always make me smile :)

oh i think dits was the wrong term
i know shes clever as hell
adorable is the word i guess
clever and silly combined into something fresh and wonderful
    i just love her style

i love how sghe debates with herself sometimes too, taking both sides of an issue and driving herself crazy trying to justify both sides
reading her blog is really an adventure
almost a schitsophrantic rant at times (again bad compliments..lol)
i think she thinks things through so deeply wanting to be fair to every side of an argum, ent that she fragments her thouights into multiple opinions all approaching all sides of an argument all at once..

ahh its exrtrenme clever confusion, thats it..
shes too smart to think theres only 1 answer so believes all answers are partialy true
so she never really fully embraces 1 answer insread holds on to each one at least alittle
so theres alottsaa confusion, but confusion seen with perfect clarity is berter then anyone claiming to have the full answer but only using fuzzy logic to explain it

off topic, but on the subject of fuzzy logic

has anyone ever read a book cxalled "barefoot in the head"?
its truly briliant but also 1 of the most confusing books ever written
because its mostly written in psychobabble..post psychodelic wasteoid language.. conceiskly nonsence, but it speaks to the subconcise directly so u understand it fully unless u try to understand it (most wordss arent words or are combinations of dozens of words that dont fit together and some sentences can be 6 pages long
its truly brilliant in a totaly warped way
if u can find it..read it..but then..dont read it absorb it
its funny u can read a chapter get sooo much out of it then srtop and think wait, what did i just read..u go back and try to peice the words togerther into the images u had in yoir head and the words themself make no sence..but if u just let em flow..not expecting the words to be words just thoughts it becomes remarkably clear..in a fuzzy logic sorta way.
i think amy would totaly understand it.

    goodnight

Yep that sounds about right. Even with issues that seem to have an obvious answer I always have the problem of being able to see and empathise with too many sides at once. Makes it very hard to form opinions! :p I always test my certainty for things by trying to talk myself out of them.

lol your head would explode if u read thye come up with any logical way any solid object can pass through another without causing dammage.

msanm i tried explasining it with the simplest of physics
but they still dont get it..my mind is boggled.

if your head wont explode can u try your multi angled approach at logic on it?
maybe u can see some way besides magic that it can happen..

ah wait i got it..alchemy..u transmute thehair and metal so the 2 are 1, so the needle doesnt pass through the dread but becomes part of the dread...ahh i now see the value in amythought
i was really tryiong to figure out a way that theyre thinking made sence
    it has to be alchemy..

but u should take a look ast it and see if u come to the same conclusion..the threads called what to do
