Ok I have some small dreads i want to congo together just becasue there real small. But i need the best way to doit.

I currently did a twist and rip with them. It kind of just looks like to dreads twisted together. And i have beads over them.

But is there also another way i can congo them like would wrapping them be good or would that hender the process.

PLease give me ideas to congo them together.
    Thank you.

I've done hair wraps on a couple, and they combined quite well.

what did you do, you twisted the hair together, then pull the two ends in opposite directions to push the space where they are held together down? i dont know what twist and rip means.

well i tried the method i described on two small locks, and you could easily tell there was two masses of hair there. someone asked me if i braided my locks. the two hairs together where even smaller then they were seperate (i guess because they were tighter and pulled straight) and they were being held together quite well. i thought it my be too tight so they could have trouble locking into something proper, does anyone know what i mean? because of this i separated them which took a while.

what are hair wraps, is that when you take a few strands of hair and wrap them around the lock... err multiple locks in the case you wanted to congo. i do this on the end hairs of the locks that hang in my face area. so far it is keeping things more rounded and less like strands near the end of the lock.

so far to make congos and just stopped separating the locks this week and it looks and feels like im getting the results i want. i'm just worried that i might loose control of big sections that turn into either pillows or godzilla locks.

Didn't read all the responses, just wanted to share what I did to combine 2-3 dreads once. I had 3 that were 2 combined, and 1 that was 3 combined. Take this for what it's worth, just my experience ;) I had a girlfriend wrap the roots of the dreads I wanted combined (all wrapped into one wrap) starting from an inch away from the scalp. The wrapping was for only an inch or so. I left it in for a month or so. In the mean time I did things like R&T after a fresh shampooing. Eventually, the locks joined and were totally separated from the wrap almost all the way down (you could totally see that it was a forced join). But now a month later I cannot even tell which ones I combined except that they are a wee fatter than other ;) But I am only 6 months into the process. So, like I said. Take it FWIW

    Good luck to you!
