So i just applied to big brothers big sister Its a a really short application actually. It seems like a cool way to get my 20hrs of community service done
cool what exactly do you do with this program and how does it help the community? EDIT: oh wait i see what it is you be a big sista to someone that doesnt have a roll model to follow or something like that
Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country Basically your their big sister big brother, You help them out on homework take them to amusement parks, pizza just anything your would do with a sibiling. www.bigbrothersbigsisters.org
If it did not look good on your college application and being a big sister gave you no future benefit...would you still do it?
sounds like a life lesson to me the parenting skills life lesson thats a good way to learn on bothsides
Of course i would, just because it wouldnt benieft me doesnt mean it wouldnt benieft the kid. thats plently for me
Lol is that some kind of a scene joke? my hair doesnt look scene does it Bhs my high school- 20hrs of community service or you dont graduate
Fuck, really? I mean, I'm all for community service, but being FORCED into it.. nuh-uh, not the right way to go about it at all.
its a step up from being Emo. Scene kids are on the surface basically just emo kids. But don't day that to their face, they don't like it. . Scene kids are a lot less depressed and a lot more...neon. Some are actually really pretty
unless you're headed for the ivy league or have a GPA of 1.00 and an ACT of 12, all you really need to get into college is the money to pay tuition...
Yah, maybe for ITT Tech. or medical assisting and or coding and billing. If you want a reputable college then you must have good credentials My college you can't get in under a 26 on ACT or 3.5 High School GPA.
define reputable. i've never seen a state school (which are generally "reputable") that was anywhere near that strict. the school i went to (which is considered one of the best engineering and one of the best pharmacy schools in the country) gave out automatic scholarships to everyone who had the scores you mention. also, i did exaggerate. but 26 is still barely above average, and anyone who showed up for high school should have graduated with close to a 3.5
