and as i am a psychology major, soon to be on my third year... i did a search. found a decent site.... if you scroll to the bottom you can see the diagnosises criterea and other.....

the only thing that doesnt fit me... is towards the end, it says- they get upset at being alone. I LOVE BEING ALONE. but that could be my depression kicking in. anyways...

    it's scary to me cause...

i know from my schooling that there is really no medicine to help this. antidepressants can help some symptoms, as some anxiety drugs. but if i have this.. im really screwed.

if you're really bored or really give too shits, look at the reasons why it can happen... that fits me. anyways, ive always known there was SOMETHING wrong with me (why i just tried to kill myself)- and this could be one.

I know some people with the borderline syndrom; borderline has many symptons and you might have some of them.
There are some medical treatments for the different symptoms (like anti-depressants), but there is not one medication for the complete borderline syndrom, because it is just too complex.
Usually the symptoms weaken or completely disappear around the age of 30.

thanks nisha. i dont know if i have it or not... but read what im gonna write to bird

bird- after bad shit happened to me... i started having A LOT of borderline symptoms. i heard tho, that for personality disorders, there is no REALLY effective treatment.

i hope what you say that it goes away around 30 is right. i do feel that i am getting better. like verizon, i make progress every day (you prollly wont get that, u.s. tv) but anyways...

it scares me tho cause i feel like a total freak and i cant control it half the time.

sounds to me like they try to justify a bunch of bullshit, oh your born with that, not your fault, you cant change it etc etc...

its alllll in your head, just pay more attention to yourself and to the world around you, start doing some things and living your life, it may be rough at first, be keep it at, we get better at ALL things with experience, and life is the best teacher... and before you know it, its all a distant unimportant memory...

There are different type of medications for the symptoms, do not believe people who tell you there are not.
Tell your doctor to get anti-depressants like Paroxetine (I do not know if that is available in America, but I heard from certain people who used it that it really helped them).
If they are not available you might want to look for some other ones.
You are missing a certain substance in your brain (I forgot the name, but I can look it up) and that substance has to be replenished.

Again, I am not a doctor and I do not take any responsibility for any mistake I made. :H

well most of you dont know me well...

but i was just in the hospital for a suicide attempt...

    read this.

anyone tell me if this is me?

SymptomsRelationships with others are intense but stormy and unstable with marked shifts of feelings and difficulties in maintaining intimate, close connections. The person may manipulate others and often has difficulty with trusting others. There is also emotional instability with marked and frequent shifts to an empty lonely depression or to irritability and anxiety. There may be unpredictable and impulsive behavior which might include excessive spending, promiscuity, gambling, drug or alcohol abuse, shoplifting, overeating or physically self-damaging actions such as suicide gestures. The person may show inappropriate and intense anger or rage with temper tantrums, constant brooding and resentment, feelings of deprivation, and a loss of control or fear of loss of control over angry feelings. There are also identity disturbances with confusion and uncertainty about self-identity, sexuality, life goals and values, career choices, friendships. There is a deep-seated feeling that one is flawed, defective, damaged or bad in some way, with a tendency to go to extremes in thinking, feeling or behavior. Under extreme stress or in severe cases there can be brief psychotic episodes with loss of contact with reality or bizarre behavior or symptoms. Even in less severe instances, there is often significant disruption of relationships and work performance. The depression which accompanies this disorder can cause much suffering and can lead to serious suicide attempts.

In the essence it is all mental, but we do not live in the essence and we have to rely on science to a certain point.
If you 'think' you are sick you can get some sort of medication to 'think' it makes you feel better.

    Yeah.
