Had my fortune told by a sidewalk vendor and his canary in Tijuana. To prognosticate, he picked up a pinch of birdseed and let his charge out of its cage, whereupon it plucked two folded paper slips from a rack. The little bird waited to receive its reward and then dutifully hopped back into its cage. Five pesos for each fortune slip.

ok, and so, what did the little birdie tell you?

i've actually heard of this, though i've never been anywhere that i've seen it done.

I can tell you no more as I cannot read your mind. I was intrigued by the latter admission. As for the fortunes, they were a welter of predictions and advice but the events that best matched the vague predictions had already occurred.

Aren't these fortunes always vague? :) I believe in fortune-telling of course. I've done my share, and accurately, but was this really anything more than a bit of random spiritual advice?

I prefer the tarot and geomancy. I've also used a witch board and pendulum.
