Black Cultural Festival

Is this just their version of a Klan rally?

They used the Fairgrounds and they had concession stands and music and all this and that, so im thinking not.

Well what makes them so special? wheres the white cultural festival?

There aint no festivals (around here anyway) that are strictly about white peopole. If there was, i bet you a hundred dollars there would be an uproar.

 

I would imagine (i don't know) It is for ALL people not just black people, it is ABOUT black culture not just for black people.

 

But i did not see ONE white soul anywhere close to that place.

There is but it's just called a 'festival'. If there was a white festival what do you think they'll celebrate to make it a white thing?

 

There are greek fests, norweigian fests, italian fests, Oktober fests, latino fests....isn't this just another one of them?

This festival is about skin color. those festivals are about nationalities, beer

 

I bet it'd be cool if you showed up. Might even meet some nice black ladies. Chicks dig a guy with some culture.

 

Its not necessarily about skin color, its about there heritage in Africa, which sounds the same as the others to me.

Why does this even bother you? There are whole states that are practically all white...why not move to Oregon or Vermont or something?

Seriously though, the only reason they don't have Nigeria fest or something is because most of their identities were lost when their ancestors were captured and brought here.

Thats very true, many african americans don't know their heritage very well, and this is an oppurtunity for them to get in touch with it.

How can white people really feel left out, I'm sure if you went there and asked some questions they'd be more then happy to let you chill. You might even get some free food. Ethiopian food isn't bad. Nothing like when Cinco De Mayo rolls around, but still pretty good.

 

They had a Whites National Convention in York County two weeks ago, I guess I should have called you and let you know lol. (teasing, but not about them having one of those things though.) We have nice things like the Greek Festival every year and some other festivals throughout the year so just go and learn something new.

P.S. Black is a Nationality lol.

 

One can celebrate one's heritage without being a bigot, there is room enough for all.
And like your folks likely told you when you asked when is kids day, every day is kids day.
Every day of the year white people get treated better for the most part. I know some disagree, but that is what I see around here. Visibly different people get noticeably worse treatment in a lot of places and by a lot of the people, every day.
Every day is a white cultural festival.

Black is not a nationality. its a ummmm race. Just like white is a race. blacks can be irish or british or russian or french. Just like Native americans could be chinese.
