I'm going to ask the (probably) most stupid and obvious question ever: Do you mean that people DRAW or PAINT with BLOOD???? dear God, how nasty....is just my first impression, tho' I actually did like the drawing a lot, the talent shown there. but NOT in blood...that's just me, tho. Ants and flies would probably like it a lot,
I like it. I wouldn't want to use my own blood for a piece, wouldn't want to use anyone elses either so I'll just admire those creations made.. the vampires are probably pretty upset though.
Saw this guy, or someone else who does it, on Ripley's believe it or not when I was about 7 or 8. I think he painted a US president, but I can't find it anywhere. I like the idea, although it's certainly not for me Edit: This guy's shit hot! http://bloodpainting.com/
Before industrial colors, farmers in part of europe used blood as one of the ingrediants to paint furniture.
what's their a paint and ink shortage ? yeah , think I'll pass on the blood thing . I'll stick with my ole crayon box with red , thanks though . Not lookin to have a crime scene in the house . On a plus note if you spray it with that chemical that cops use , it will glow in the dark . functional and practical Very nice pic. though , well done
Kaitlin Is that a drawing you made? If it is, I'd really like to send you a PM & ask you a pretty cool question Lemme know ok!? x
In the original post she said "I've never done it" So obviously these are not hers.... I really find this blood painting fascinating. Theres definatly talent to the artist.. but i guess if you will make blood paintings you could always use animal blood i don't see using human blood a good idea at all.. But this is kinda wierd, a little freaky but awesome none the less...
Sounds interesting but hard as hell, blood drys so fast. Might have to try it one day, just have to remind myself to ask for blood at the butcher next time go.
No, blood paintings are not something I've ventured to do. I think they are interesting to look at, I have some kind of fascination with blood, but I probably wouldn't do them myself. That painting was done by Pete Doherty of the Libertines.
