I heart xanax. I take about half a one a day for sleep, but I used to be VERY addicted. I was up to takign about 20 a day at my worst point. PS-blowing them through your nose just dilutes them. They're not soluable that way.
Yah, you don't want to be taking this drug in excess. I, too, fail to understand how someone can get hooked. I've played around with it for getting sleep and mixing with weed, and once when I was in a bad place on an acid trip, but overall, it fucks with your memory and just isn't enjoyable on its own. If you're constantly stressed out and nervous, okay, but in such a case it might be better to try and tackle to root causes of that anxiety.
I think I would be addicted to any controlled drug I am perscribed. I just have a very addictive personality. Hwne I am not hooked on a drug, I usually get fat because I get hooked on sugar.
I agree with Jimmy 100%. It's really just not a fun drug to me. THAT is the part I don't get. What was so fun about your Friday night when all you say Saturday is, "HAHAHA. I don't remember that!!"?
I just hate the feeling you get the next day. What did you mean by pettign the cat or whatever you said? I got confused.
Petting the dog that bit you. Like when you wake up hung over and drink a beer. I know soooooo many people that wake up xanie-fried and eat another one to help feel better.
That's what I should have done! I took a whole one last night and ate a lot of pizza, woke up feeling like crap and cancelled my plans. I should have just taken a xanax and had fun ):
My cents: It seems the younger crowd is the one enjoying the next day xanax state... I used, but not for a while. I still believe xanax serves it's purpose well.
As many of you know, I love xanax.....perhaps a little too much, and it was almost my downfall. It's definitely NOT an anti-depressant. Everything nesta said is absolutely correct, as usual. Alprazolam is actually more likely to CAUSE depression, as opposed to treating depression. Sure, everything is fine and dandy while under the influence of xanax, but when it wears off, depression runs rampant. Also, when it wears off, the anxiety is even worse than it was before you took the xanax. Addiction to alprazolam, as well as other benzodiazepines, is among the most dangerous and deadly addictions known to man, as the withdrawals can be so severe as to cause seizures and even death. That being said, xanax is just about the best thing in the world for eliminating any and all anxiety/fear that you may be experiencing. Simply put, alprazolam is a double-edged sword that requires diligent moderation. If you want an anti-depressant, stick to SSRI's. Better yet, smoke some blunts:sifone:
I know how you feel about xanax, there are a few of us who have some off the wall xanax stories posted here. Good times...
I've posted some insane xanax stories. I can only imagine how many more crazy stories I'd have, if it wasn't for the "black-out" aspect. Definitely good times, with bad results. lol
I'm grateful that I never became physically addicted to xanax, as I was taking massive amounts, everyday, for a long time. Dodged a bullet, for sure.
