Bob Dylan or Neil Young?

It's hard to choose for me so I'm staying neutral.

 

two of my very favorites...though if I was given the choice of whose concert I wanted to attend, it would have to be Neil. Dylan sux live! He is definitely one of the best poetic artists around however. Oh to live on Sugar Mountain....love 'em both!!

I like both but I'll have to go with Dylan.

 

neil young was all around a much better song writer, although dylan was a better poet neil is still the best.

 

nah dylan was a better song writer (and poet).

 

imo, there is absolutly no way neil is a better song writer.

my vote goes for dylan by far. but i still love neil.

 

yeah dylan isn't the best live these days. not that I can blame him (64 remember). but he still does 100+ shows a year

I love Young, but I find Dylan just to be almost godly. As for his live shows, I saw him live a year or 2 ago, and it's true, he's not that good anymore, but really, that is a recent development, I mean Dylan's voice has never been great but his old live shows are awesome, especailly from 1975 on the Rolling Thunder Revue, but once you start to hear like from the MTV Unplugged album and on, Dylan's voice has just been going to hell, but when you listen to Time out of Mind and Love and Theft, his voice is shot in the studio too.

 

sorry if you thought I meant lyrics, and if not then I cant agree, neil has ventured into so many differnt styles of music, from folk to rock to grunge hes done it all and been amazing at it.

 

thats too tough. i love them both. i hate being faced with a decision like that, so im staying neutral too.

Dylan may not be the best live but he is still my favorite... Even though I dig Neil too.

 

Even though he's crap live, and never was the most impressive of musicians in general...my vote today has to go with Mr. Dylan.

 

yeah i did think you meant lyrics, neil might be slightly better at writing music but overall i still think bobby blows neil young away
