im thinking about making a book or a series of stories based on the following idea, tell me what you think of it There is a man who is obsessed with power and is evil, and he wants to control the entire universe. To do this he finds an arcane machine that lets him see into the future. When he uses the machine he sees that the universe will end in a few days, unless he can save it. He must save it so he can rule it. He is trapped being a good person, despite being a truly evil bastard. think its good?
It might work. It might not. You'll have to plot out a number of story variables before you'll know. Tension rules life and every story needs to relive its coronation.
I think that is a good idea and it might turn out a good book if well written. I didn't understand what you mean by "series of stories", I'm sorry... Can you explain a lil' better? Is it something like one story makes a book and then another story in another book like a "part II" or something like that? I don't like this kind of books... Well, I think don't like them because they don't fit well in the kind of books I like to read. Anyway, it is good... Use your imagination but write it seriously, don't write it just like another fantasy story or another futuristic story, 'cause that's too easy and too empty, make it genuine. And Good Luck
