Today I just saw a nostlogic type of show on A&E about the Boomer Generation and I thought it was a great overview of the idealism and countercultures of the 50's, 60's, 70's. It kind of commented on the aftermath of all this rebellion on how that the idealism is here in today's world, and their is a real counterculture that counters the mainstream counterculture and will actually start a kind of change that the Boomers help create. I saw how just little acts and single people helped recreate the society and changed some ways. From a single guy stopping China's tanks, from a girl just standing on the side of the road holding a sign saying "Honk For Peace" it all helps. The show wasn't really important, just a bunch of 30-somethings recounting their past experiances, but I reworked in my head and saw all of this. I really thought I need to stop sitting on my ass and thinking of the "perfect" way of starting a revolution or change, but the smallest acts can spontanously (sp?) lead up to larger things. It just got me thinking that I needed to stop thinking, cause I done enough of that. Now I need to compensate with actions that have been created with my over thought thoughts. Alright, now I can sleep.
Yeah I saw most of that too, very interesting. I love stocking up on thought provoking information about our past, and how we morphed into what we call society. Pretty groovy
