Fuck. Fuck fuckity fuck. London is screwed, but you brought it on yourselves! Well, the majority of voters did, anyway. London is now off my list of palces to go; not that it was on there anyway..
To quote Fin... 'if Boris gets in London won't be the capial city in 2 years time' Sadly that nay heed true...
Scary thing now is, if they'll elect a buffoon like Boris, they'll elect the boiled egg which is Cameron...
It's an outrage! If only Ken had remained Independent. New Labour has been a millstone about his neck....
That's about the brunt of it Sal... It's all the Sun readers, I can't stand that fucking 'paper', fucking right wing spoonfeeding to those who wrongly think its a labour paper....
Just watched the results Got so fucking pissed off how they cut Sian Berry out 10 seconds into her speech just so they could stand on a roof repeating what Boris had just said. I certainly agree that Ken Livingstone shoulda stayed independent. He woulda easily won had he done so. Did anyone else feel that the beeb was scarily biased today? I only really noticed it when I flicked over to ITV and noticed they were covering it completely differently and actually pointing out that Boris hadn't won yet.
Yeah, but usually they're less obvious about it. I didn't think I'd have to change to ITV to get quality news broadcasting... In other news, bloody hell is it ever still a two horse race?
It always has been, always will be My family were seriously screwed over by the tories. Of the 'mainstream' parties I'm actually warming to Nick Clegg!
Yeah he seems pretty decent, he did a meetngreet at the all girls equivalent of my school. My parents went to see him, I missed it though. They said he was a good speaker. Still gonna stick with the hope that the greens'll raise up the ranking after the tories get in (and fuck up) again.
Well, you'd be surprised, the greens won a shitload of seats! I think we should single handedly start a huuge green campaign!!
Looks like we may have a Tory government after the next election, though two years is a very long time in politics. That said, a potential Tory victory won't convince me to vote tactically for Labour. Labour lost any chance of my vote the day they invaded Iraq and my opinion of them has only declined since. I'll be voting Green or Socialist at the next election....
*reads ny's last sentence, lithium in 5....4....3...* We should, it's a shame the voting age aint 16, because the greens woulda got so many votes from the stoners in my school.
I know, I heard that earlier, bloody scary. Where was it? Because I'm staying the fuck away from there.
He was elected on the London-wide proportional list, though I suspect his primary base of support was in the East, particularly Barking and Dagenham where he's currently a councillor....
