Its not even an american company anymore...
Meaning all the profit they have is going to someother economy and they blame horrid mortgages
of course thats also true but shouldnt some pride be taken in american brands
(budweiser as shitty as it is) The good of our economy should be thought of.

I've never liked Bud, but see no reason to boycott it. What, because there not owned by an American anymore?

Do they not brew and package the beer in the US still?
Labatt Brewing Company has been brewing and packaging Bud for Canadians, so if I were to boycott it, I'm only hurting the people who work at Labatt Brewing Company. I'm sure the same goes in the States as well.

im not trying to sound like a douche or anything, they probably did move a lot of their factories out of the US, but theres a budweiser factory not ten minutes from here. Budweiser isnt that great or anything so i might as well join your boycott :)

    lol thanks for the support
im just from the stand point that instead of the 1.5 billion in sales that the us economy would be recieving is going to belgium now

To boycott Budweiser would take away many American jobs.In my area there is a brewery, glass bottle plant, aluminum plant and a distribution center. The only change is the owners are not American and the workers outweigh the owners.

Nice point burnt but who says that the new owners have to keep those jobs open in the first place

what if they started shipping them to india so they could make a cheaper product and more profit...
It is more easily done now if they want to

they own the company. they have no obligation to stay in one country. maybe if our economy wasnt so fucked in the first place , they wouldnt have had to sell.

if your multi-billion dollar company was about to sink, would you let it sink just to please the american flag (i cant say that without laughing) or would you do what was needed ?

I really doubt InBev will ship their business to India. It would cost billions of dollars to relocate and build new facilities over seas, when they already have newly updated facilities here. Also if they were to ship the company out of this country they would lose a large majority of their profits due to the fact that the people who consume this beer want a American made beer not an India made beer.

I can't think of a good reason to boycott Budweiser. I live in St. Louis, MO so i really have to hear about it a lot. Here's my take on it and i should probably mention that i don't even drink alcohol so i guess i really have no stake in it, but here it goes: the original recipe for Budweiser was won by the "founder: of AB in a card game over a hundred years ago. The man he won it from was actually from the country where the new buyers come from, so there is no real "american" part of bud in the first place. I'm not sure if this is all true or not, but it is what i keep hearing. Also, i think that to say that it is wrong for another company to take over a company in the united states is kinda xenophobic. The bottom line is: Budweiser really doesn't have to sell, they want to just because there is a whole pile of money in it for all of the higher ups. besides, they would be crazy to move bud out of the country or even out of St. Louis, they have a really good thing going here and to ruin that would probably ruin their company. cheers! :cheers2:

I'd boycott it, but I don't think I've had one in forever. Though I think they own Lienkukel(sp?), and I like thier sunset wheat.

I live about an hour north of stl,& from my understanding the plant here was drastically downsized as of jan.1st,with intentions of eventually closing. The conservation areas will still be maintained by the busch family, but I've heard Inbev plans on quitting all the charities that the busch family donated to.The only way I'm drinkin busch or bud is if I can't get PBR!but if you're a missourian, check out schlafly or o'fallon breweries.both damn good beers, just a little too costly for my taste

Problem with Bud is that they don't leave it in the horse long enough.
