So I decided that I would take a nice little week off of smoking to clear my thoughts and lower my tolerance a little.

So far it's been about 4 hours :D

Anyone else think they'd be good for a break?

By the way.. for the tokers out there whose done the same. How would you say one week affected your tolerance?

After a few days of being sober, it normally gets me much higher than before, but I also don't smoke much, so not much has to leave my system I guess.

Oh, I know it won't do much.. but it'll be better then no break. And the main reason isn't for the tolerance, anyways.

Yea I agree.... It takes much longer than a week to break down your tolerance. I had to stop for about 4 months and the first time was awesome, but after that it was just like old times again. So I don't smoke much right now. Just like once a week or maybe twice if I feel like it.

i recently took about a 6 week break. I only smoke a few times a week as it is but i just feel like stopping some times. I really enjoy only smoking a few times a week, it seems my tolerance is a lot lower than it was when i was blazing all day and i really enjoy when i do smoke.

A week break is good man, I don't know how much it's gonna affect your tolerance, probably not much. Yeah but I feel ya on those quick breaks, I usually go two weeks, but that's just me!

I'd definitely go for 2 weeks.. but it's summer and I'd like to enjoy it as much as I can.. know what I mean?

Anyways.. first day here.. doing fine. My appetite is pretty low, though.. the only thing I ate today was two pieces of chicken :(

Taking a break every now and then can be a good thing. If the break is long enough, it will lower your tolerance. But if it is not long enough to lower your tolerance, it will atleast make the marijuana taste and hit you a little better. So, in the long run, if I could go about two weeks without smoking, I would. But since its hard enough to go 4 hours without smoking, I doubt I will lower my tolerance anytime soon.

Sometimes you have to clear up the ole noggin. Everything in moderation, nothing in excess.

Just smoke at your own pace, that's really all a smoker needs to keep in mind. If you need a break, then take one for whatever reason(s). If you don't want a "break" per say then just cut back on how often you smoke. I smoked daily for 3 years, on the weekends for like 3 months once, and I've even had 1-2 month breaks during the 5 1/2 years or so that I've been smoking. About 3 months ago I hadn't smoked in a month and a half, now I smoke basically every day again, but even now it is slowly decreasing (I smoke less during the day than I use to though, and it's usually at the end of my day now.). So, like I said never feel obligated to smoke if you don't really feel like it. Also, I like to take a more spiritual/mediative approach to herb nowadays compared to earlier on in my smoking career. Honestly if you smoke looking at it like that, rather than to simply get "high" you'll still appreciate it much more.
