What's the deal with some of the Brits on this website? Are they too good for the rest of us?

There are actually a lot of British people on this website, but few of them post outside of their little sub-forums that Skippy has so kindly created for them.

Why do the Brits essentially have their own site, with their own Music Forum and their own Random Thoughts Forum? They even have their own Picture Forum!

    What gives?

Wouldn't it be only fair to have forums for the Spanish, the French, the Germans, the Americans, the Eithiopians, and every other nationality for that matter?

And I am not referring to the French, German and Spanish language-oriented forums on this site, either.

What makes the Brits so special that they are deserving of their own forums, shutting themselves off from the rest of the forum's population, considering they speak the same language as us non-Englanders.

Not that I really care. It's not that big of a deal to me.

It's just that sometimes I enter the U.K. forums just to look around and see what people are talking about. And there are a lot of interesting and intelligent threads posted in there, too! They are threads that could easily fit in with the rest of the forums, since many of the same topics are discussed, hence open to even more enlightened, open-minded people with something to say, that would normally not go into the U.K. forum.

If I want to post in the U.K. forums, I feel like I am intruding because I don't bare the apparantly favorable "U.K." moniker in my profile. It makes me feel inferior and it just isn't right, god damn it! :p

although it seems like they actually meet up and everything, so maybe its a networking thing

I've had some of those very same thoughts myself. I would never post in the UK forum because I would be scared that they would tell me to get the hell out :p

I lived in Manchester UK with some relatives for a summer when I was a kid. Everyone was so nice there and they kiss without their tongue. I think they'll let you in.

Are you saying no one wants to talk to me? 'Cause if you are, you're just re-affirming what I already know.

    :( I'm so alone.
