Theres a religion section where this would be more sutiable. One of the preceps does talk about not imbibing any intoxicants, but in my spiritual universe good intentions, righetous intent, and understanding are more important then dogmatic rule systems. Sure you can be a buddhist and smoke pot.
The Buddha also said that you must find truth for yourself. Besides there were buddhist traditions that use cannabis as a tool. "New Age" I find are just like fundamentalist christians, they want other people to answer all there questions for them, do what this monk or this lama or this book says. So yeah you will probalby endure shit while talking to many buddhists but fuck it, think for yourself, don't let someone else think for you.
