Bump next to nose piercing wont go away.

Hi i got nosed pierced 2 months ago or more and pinkish little bump wont go away! Its making me sad, i dont no if i should just take it out but then the bump might not ever heal.. im using a dialated tea tree oil liquid once a day. Heard it might be a keliod... It hasnt gotten bigger for awhile but its so ugly.. help!

 

leave the jewellry in and go see your doc (taking it out could make things worse)... it might be a cyst, but it does sound like a keloid... it could be a reaction to the jewellry you have in there...but without seeing it or knowing in what conditions your nose was pierced, it would be unwise for me to offer any other advise... sometimes docs can be useful... if anything else comes to mind, i will post again... meanwhile, don't just ignore it... good luck...

 

I had a small bump next to mine for a while when I first had it done, but it went away. Just keep it clean and you could always call the place you got it pierced and ask their advice, they are usually pretty helpful.

 

lol thanx, cant waste muny 2 go 2 docs. Already went 2 piercer guy and he said itl go away but i think he lying as it hasnt changd. I did change the jewelry 2 early, as he has hardly any choices and i stil dnt like the stud i hav in as its 2 long. Thanx for the help anyways, guess ill have 2 just pray..

 

dont go to a doctor, dont wash it with anything but water.

no alcohol, only take it out to change it to something that's surgical steel if you have a crappy stud that you got from a gun piercing, those are bad

no plastic or gold either

 

keep it clean, i got one on my conch piercing, just kept cleaning it as if it was only a new piercing and it eventually went down!..

 

Thnx guys. Yea it surgical steel, been same bump 4 month at least, might change to a hoop, caus when i start going clubbing itll fall out again haha gues there not much else i can do but clean it. Though if it keloid any tips? not much point in geting it cut out, 2 much muny and smal i gues. Ill try get a pic tonight. Um iv been told use dettol, that to harsh?

imho dettol is too harsh... just use a mild saline solution... if the guy who pierced it said it'll be fine, then it is likely it will be fine... it doesn't look like a keloid... just keep an eye on it... i'd only start to worry if it grows...

have you considered having your nose removed? (sorry, i keep thinking i'm on the games forums)... was it Lynxx who said she had same and it eventually went away? if you can't go to doc, then i would just carry on cleaning it (once a day though... don't overdo the cleaning)... i'll wager it does just go in time... you are going to notice the red bump more than others, so don't worry...

 

it should go away. keep cleaning it daily ( & get salt water in there to dry out the bump... nose piercings take a long time to heal so they have to be kept very clean in order to heal correctly and as short as possible.

keep the jewelry in. since your nose is not completely healed if you change the jewelry it could restart the wait time and your nose will take longer to heal.

i had one of those for a month, i used salt water and peroxide daily until it went away it may be a puss sack, you DO NOT want to pop it.

 

But iv had it 4 more then 2 months prob and its been like that... i just wuna take it out but then it might ruin chances of it going away? im not sure. fml lol

 

If you end up taking it out for good just get a septum ring, they heal a shitload easier.

Oh yeah, and the next time you get a piercing DON'T LET ANYONE TOUCH YOU WITH A PIERCING GUN. Go to a parlor that has a needle. Sorry if you did go to a parlor and use a real needle it just doesn't look like it

Also, I just remembered that to heal my bump I took it out for like 1 night and then popped it back through. Don't do this if you have a stud with the ball that pops in, only the pointy ended studs

I'd totaly be tempted to needle it and squeeze out whatevers in there

but Im no expert on piercings so dont do that...one time I squeezed a nose zit and a really long hair popped out :ack2:

 

I had a bumb like that on my snug piercing. Do you touch or play with the piercing alot? Or handle it to get all the gunk off? Stop doing this and the bumb will go away.
