Quotes "Bush is way up, way up in the polls. In fact, they said if the election was held today, the Supreme Court would re-elect him 7 to 2, which is better than last time." --Jay Leno http://www.gorewonflorida.org http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=586&ncid=586&e=6&u=/nm/20040908/wl_nm/iraq_dc
I wouldn't worry too much about it... Bush is ahead by likely voters, but its still a dead heat for registered voters. I think it was a convention bounce and possibly the fact that 9-11 is two days away. Also some documents got released today that cast even more doubt on bushs military service. I'm not saying kerry doesn't have anything to worry about, but I think its going to even out.
So he'll win. If the majority thinks we're better off with him, then I guess we're fucked. Oh wait, we are anyways. Welcome to America.
Why don't you guys realize that it doesnt matter who wins, Bush or Kerry we are Just as Fucked. If anyone should be elected it should be Bush, because than people MIGHT start to open up their eyes to the corruption of our Government, if Kerry is elected it will be just like during Clinton, all they people will sit back and just because Bush isn't President, they won't question anything Kerry does and let him do whatever he wants. Atleast Bush is trying to re-instate the draft, that will make an entire generation of apathetic high-schoolers into political activists, just think about it....PLUS, If Bush doesn't win in 2004, he is the front runner for the 2008 elections, if he gets his term over with in 2004, we won't have to worry about that fuckface again, it will just be another capitalist, whore to the global elite...It doesn't matter who is the President, the same leaders are on the top, and they will always be at the top, controlling everything, until they die. Peace and Love, Dan
As usual, you're dead on! Well, almost. The difference now is that if Kerry is elected, it won't be the same as Clinton because during those years most people were still sleep-walking (it was still pre-Seattle). But now, people are waking up to the fact that the 2-party corporate system is not representative of ordinary people. I hope Kerry does win, ONLY so people, esp. the newly radicalized progressive movements, will keep a close watch on Kerry so that when he does fuck the average American over (and he will if he gets elected), people will be able to say "See!! I told you!" and then like all empires throughout history, the stack of cards known as the American elite will come a'crashin down. (well, that's overly idealistic probably) but the main point is, regular people who are not activists or politically concerned will finally begin to wake up to the fact that neither repubs nor democrats serve you and me. Then, either 3rd parties will force their way in, or...something much bigger. Who knows. I just hope Kerry wins so he can shoot himself in the leg--no purple hearts this time p.s. don't put too much faith in polls...the people or focus groups that are polled are likely business elites. I've never gotten a letter in the mail asking for my opinion on anything, especially concerning an election. Have you?
There will be less death and suffering if Kerry wins. Throughout U.S. History, the economy has done better with Democrats in control as well. Bush just wants what Al Qaeda wants. More war and oil.
Al Queda is an Organization completely Funded and and Helped By the CIA. Osama Bin Laden is a CIA asset, he makes these terrorist attacks with the help of US politicians, to help US politicians sway peoples thought, and make them go along with what they want. It doesn't matter who is president, as long as the CIA and FEMA are there, things will always be the same. Peace and Love, Dan
People who over generalize to the point where they think Bush and Clinton ran things the same way should not vote anyway. 4 More Wars!
Former President Clinton could not keep anything quiet. The republicans threw millions of dollars in to investigate everything about Clinton. The only thing they could nail him on was an office blowjob and it took a $70 million dollars and over 200 F.B.I. agents to do that! http://clinton5.nara.gov/WH/Accomplishments/eightyears-index.html You can bet that the republicans will make John Kerry running for office as ugly as the Clinton impeachment. What I see hear in this talk forum is a few people who dish out trashy comments without any basis in fact or any regard for U.S. History. King George will win another 4 years because of ignorance, not what people know.
And we wonder why no one votes. Our government is nothing more than a glorified highschool. $70 million to catch Clinton getting a blowjob? Everyone up in DC is so out of touch with reality.
Ok.. I'm going to open all of cyber's threads now to get a laugh, and to watch the fanatics come in to hijack them.
