Buying a cammel

So i was thinking of buying a babby camel, $990, A friend sAid i could keep it at his house, i was thinking i could call him charlie and do $5 camel rides, now i dont realy need oone untill my van blows up, i could be like a crazzy camel man, with gerald( a wild mouse that lives in my van) haha any thoughts or info on camel keeping? I don't think you can ride them, but I only say that because every time I've ever seen one in movies or regular video there's always been a dude walking beside it instead of riding it
