How many people are dreaming about California, are waiting till they are done with school, or their current job, waiting till they save enough money, waiting till the weathers right, and then heading west.? There is so much talk of San Francisco, and I was wondering how many hippies are planning on migrating to the more progressive, more liberal, more hip west coast. I started in Detroit, Michigan and the West Coast drew me like a magnet when I was 23, and I have never gone back. I landed initially in Oregon and now live in Washington. These are also great states for alternative lifestyle folks, and California is just a cruise down the coast. Well Bon Voyage!!!!!!
I would love to move to California someday. I'm clear in Pennsylvania, so making it to California is gonna be a lot of work lol. but i'd love to live there
No place is better than another place just because of its history and fame. A place is all about people and nature (in my humble opinion). You can find great people and lovely nature in bumfuck, anywhere... not just in California. Go and meet people and explore your town instead of dreaming of something that is far away.
big insight, everywhere is the same as everywhere else... for someone who doesnt want to go anywhere, u sure r from alot of places... how'd u get there?
I live in Holland.. so i would liek 2 move to america.. But I fucking hate Bush.. so i dont know yet...
Why would you want to move to america? And you're talking about the US? Technically, america describes two huge-ass continents. hahah
I believe this is a broad generalization that is not necessarily acurate in the least. I have seen Paris, France and London, England and Vienna, Austria. They are drenched with history and fame and I would certainly put them over MANY other places I have seen that are dead, dulld and boring. I have also been to places that have lots of people and a significant amount of nature that I would not care to re-visit. I have plenty of family in New York City and am always happiest when I am 3000 miles away from there. I have also been dragged to the Grand Canyon three times by people who were blown away by the place... I couldn't wait to leave. I love California. I've been here since 1985. I've lived in the north as well as the south and I consider the entire state my home.
California is over-rated. A nice place to visit but i don't think i'd wanna live there. Southern Cali is a wasteland of sprawl. N Cali is MUCH nicer. Oregon as a state is much preferable to Cali, only exception is Eugene(which sux). i'm a happy midwestern guy here, with 4 full seasons, plenty of cool people, nice woods and hills.
Yet again, personal opinion. I am not fascinated by building or history, I am fascinated by the present, the natural aspect, and the current culture. I do love history and such, but when I am in a place I want to dig it now, the way it is, instead of digging its past. ...and when I say people... I mean quality, not quantity.
dude...i think california is way overrated. the part of cali i live in if you just showed up there & walked outside you would think you were in mexico, no joke. the street signs, fucken almost everything is in spanish and theres mexicans everywhere and its hella ghetto. everyone thinks cali is like what you see on tv with all the fake blonde-haired orange skinned big titted broads and celebrities and beaches but let me tell you i aint never seen none of that and ive been here all my life. and im the one wishing i were somewhere else.
Don't feed him any more attention pellets than necessary. If you find it sufficiently offensive report it. Just because he is a supporter doesn't mean he has license to spread hatred.
