Calling all scale owners who have anytype of RC & a camera

It really might be a good idea to try to build a catalogue of various chemicals at various weights accurately measured with a scaling reference and take a photo of it, i'de be willing to host all the images through iWeb or create a website or make a PDF to distribute to anyone who wants it. Like it or not I doubt 10% of everyone out there really has a scale especially newcommers. I would bet that most really cannot tell 10mg from 20mg and it is a cold truth that many do eyeball doses. Might be a good idea to get some kind of visual referance if they are going to chance it and eyeball a dose. I'de rather see people eyeballing a dose comparing it to a picture of the same chem they have at low doses like 5mg so they can get a 'slightly' better guessed dosage, as I don't think I've ever even seen a picture straight up scaling a dosage that was lower than 20mg. I dunno I'm not trying to encourage eyeballing doses, but simply saying it's bad, it's dangerous really isn't going to stop people. I mean hell D.A.R.E. massive failure is proof enough just saying it's bad isn't gonna stop shit I mean from childhood. We've been fed that all drugs are bad yet we're all here. It might be smart to try for some harm prevention since people will do dumb stuff especially when first starting out.

And Yes I realize that a thread down this discussion is going on, but it really got me thinking, so I figured i'de make a thread regarding this. Since I'de rather see people who are newcommers or can't get a scale for whatever reason to have some way to get a slightly more accurate measure than "I think this is 15mg"

But I really can't stress enough how important having a scale is, since I should point out that vendors really do often send more than what was ordered which could be disasterous in some situations if tried to measure by dissolving in water.

Just an idea. Once I sell my old guitar stuff I'm planning on buying a scale again, so if nobody really contributes I'll do some scaling in a month or so.

it's still pretty inaccurate, b/c you can't tell how fluffy or compact the powder is, which can make a HUGE difference.

There are some pictures on erowid of various chems. Not all of them have some kind of marker as a reference, but i would say it would be worth a look for you. Also you never know if the subtitle is accurate on the amount, since they are second hand pictures with captions.

 

Stupid idea because

1) If people are going to be that careless about their own safety, I'm not going to bother helping them. Darwinism ftw
2) The same chem can vary from batch to batch. I had 2ci that was fluffy/clumpy and light. Then I also had another batch that was much finer/smaller and denser (so i'd fill a gelcap, and 20mg of this stuff took up less space than 20mg of the previous batch)

 

Honestly what kind of dumbshit response and attitude is that, would think a psychedelic user would be to care about others, i mean thats the entire fucking point. I've tripped with a few people who started to do careless shit like attempt to drive while tripping balls on a relatively new research chemical on the market, i didn't let the dude drive told him straight up cold and harshly i don't give a shit about you're safety but your dosing on one of the few good psychedelics thats still somewhat below the radar (even though i did fear for his safety) but the point is if you want to continue to be able to use these things unscheduled wouldn't the first thought be hey if we can somewhat help instead of doing nothing, who knows maybe some fucking kid will buy a new research chemical, not knowing what he's doing, and all he ever see's is assholes like you, spouting off survival of the fittest when we should be trying to ensure an incident DOESNT happen. Correct me if im wrong, but aren't most of the RC's that people have fucking DIED from by taking too much, like sticking their thumb in the bag and licking it off their finger their the ones that get the governments attention quick, and get illegal quick. Or maybe a kid will seriously overdose, but not die but have some fucking commando mom take it too congress and start speaking up.

You get the picture, we're at a time where the drug laws are actually starting to let up, I definatly see more religious implications causing the drug war to crumble we recently had a victory with use of Ayahuasca for the Santo Diame Church, thats the first time since Peyote was allowed for native americans. So if your really gonna have an outlook like that you shouldn't even be handling these substances.

Or matter of fact just go smoke some DMT or drop some Acid get a better outlook.

 

and by the way my intention on this is, not just get one picture of each substance, im well aware that batches are different, but guess what, the batches end up around scales. Im not planning on getting one picture and say thats 5mg and will be 5mg for all of this substance, thats why i came here asking for those who have scales, to just take a few minutes out of your time and just snap a shot of it or fucking drop 5mg on a clear surface and put it on your scanner if you dont have a camera, or just support the idea if you have neither, a small bit of help goes a long way. next to a dime or something or better yet a ruler to make it identifiable as possible. Cause theres people out there that will without a doubt take 30mg or higher thinking its incredibly lower, at least showing an accurate scaled image of various batches of each chemical at 5mg will undoubtably help a few people out, even if it just stops one person from accidently taking a big overdose, thats still worth the effort.

edit: and also i don't necessarily see someone who would take a huge dose in the realm of danger zone to be a seasoned RC'er and chances are would aquire their product from one of the more well known vendors, that really everyone comes into the scene finding first, and many people order from those companys, when the batch changes, hopefully someone out of the thousands of people out there will take 5 minutes when their weighing for their dose.

 

Why should I care about someone who doesn't care about themselves?

There are plenty of scales that are easily available (even for cheap if you really want....a cheap scale is better than no scale). There's plenty of information out there about all sorts of drugs and how to use them safely/responsibly (as much as possible anyways). Is it worth jeopardizing your safety and well-being to save a couple of bucks? I surely hope not.

There's absolutely nothing I hate more than people being ignorant/irresponsible with their own drug use, because it's people like that who do end up aiding in making drugs illegal. And it's the irresponsible people who mess it up for the responsible users such as myself.
