    My boyfirend is 17..
his parents want to put him in bootcamp,
he does not want to go..
But his parents told him that if he doesnt go
the marines of that bootcamp will come to the house and force him.

They said because he has no motivation in school..
What a shitty reason to make him go to that..
Well his dad beat the shit out of him and made him go..
When my bf got there he rebelled..
nothing bad happened. And the sheriffs there told his parents
that bootcamp is not for him..

Well, concidering the answer came from the girlfriend, I'm taking it with a grain of salt. However, I might take the opinion of the 'sheriff'. Wow, seriously, a sheriff? Is the states still in the Wild West or what?

Yes they can send him - I think anyway; is it 16 or 18 or 21 when someone in the USA stops being treated as a child.

Most likely the answer is Yes - but I don't agree its the proper option.

    She said Marines... thats military
The only way he could go is with early enlistment. In which he would have to notorize a contract saying he wants to go. The marines are not going to come to his house and force him... that is ridiculous.

They can not even kick him out... its called Neglect... and i live in america so dont worry...

    Hes fine...:)
