Actually, it has nothing to do with the vagina's being "too loose" or anything of the sort. One must keep in mind the vagina is made up of strong muscles and, as these muscles contract, they may suck air into the vagina. Naturally, the vagina also pushes the air out much the same way it may squeeze out some fluids inside, be they the woman's own vaginal juices or her partner's cum. As a matter of fact, some(many?) women are capable of doing this at will by contracting certain muscles in their abdomen area and the vaginal area.

And yes, the term is "queefing" which is the North American slang, or "fanny farts" which is the British counterpart. This is a very common phenomenon, nothing gross about it whatsoever.
