Is it... ummmm.... UFO? Never seen it, never heard of it. I just checked the link where your pix were coming from But aside from that, I'm a big Gerry/Sylvia Anderson fan, and I could recognize their style. "Space: 1999" is da bomb.
Yes..........'UFO' ..........you were the first to get it even though you've never seen it before!. 'Space 1999' was another great Anderson sci-fi series.It was actually meant to be 'UFO II' but it was then changed to an entirely new concept. Personally I think 'UFO' is far superior to 'Space 1999'.
Lol!! A good reference to 'Frank Zappa'. Yes the acting was the same scripting style that were used in all Gerry Anderson's previous t.v. series;- which were puppets!!. The series isn't good for the script dialogue but it is good for the storylines. My favourite episode is 'TIMELASH' where time is frozen & an alien-agent with e.s.p. abilities runs amok.Commander Straker & Colonel Lake have to try to stop him.The only problem is that he can read their minds!. - Frozen in time.
I had to resurrect this thread coz I just checked out UFO for the 1st time. What a killer show. Groovin funk-o-ramic tunes, tab collars for the dudes and retro go-go miniskirts for the dudettes, Brits driving on the right side of the road... man, why couldn't the future turn out like that?!
