I don't hear the trains anymore in this house, which is nice..compared to where I lived before, I could hear the freeway and the trains. There was always constant traffic noise and trains blowing their horns crossing intersections with the metrolink running every hour...I like quiet much better.

All the time, but usually just the horn from the distance I'm at.

I Only Hear The Slightest Noise From Goods Trains, Never Passenger.

I Live In The Middle Of My 800 acre Farm, And The Rail Line Crosses

    One Boundry.

The Reason I Cant See Or Hear Most Trains, Is Because For The

Most Part They Are In A Deep Cutting.(80 ft deep), And The Sound

    Travels Skywards.:)

    Cheers Glen.

I can hear the horn from anywhere in town. I resently moved away from my home town for a year, where there wernt any trains. and it sucked. I'm glad to be back, the sounds comforting :hurray:

I used to be able to hear the train completely at my old house - it was a really faint and quiet rumble and barely hear the whistle. I loved it - I would listen to it at night as I would go to bed my entire childhood.

I can still here it from my new house every once in a while, but mostly I hear small aircraft now that I'm closer to an airport.

the trains I always heard were freight trains, mostly with cars on them..probably not so many cars these days..I heard all of the backlots and dealerships are full.

yeah, there are some tracks really near by.

though there was a car crash RIGHT outside my window earlier, and my window is at street level....it was quite a shock

i don't know if anyone was okay or not, but it didnt sound like it.

they got the place cleaned up really quickly though
