I was thinking about hitting a good coffee shop and then taking a relaxing canal tour through the city. Anyone have any thoughts? Good idea/bad? I read somewhere that locals will actually pour buckets of water on tourists in these boats. That's actually pretty funny, but not if its me. Also, do you know if they will allow smoking while riding? Wiley
Never heard that story before, but I have seen a group of school boys taunting the boats and passengers from a bridge in Dutch. Your idea is a good one. Go for the evening cruise. It's awesome to see the lights along the canals and bridges. I've smoked on the outside portion of the back of the boat on the following cruise. No problems, just be discreet and don't whip out all of your baggies and start rollin' a doob or loadin' a bowl. Best to have a joint ready to smoke. I just returned from Amsterdam and enjoyed a canal ride. I do not remember if Smoking was permitted, but I don't think it was. The ride last about 1 hour, and cost about 5 Euro. It was interesting, but could have had more narration. The audio is in four languages, English is last. Sometimes we had passed the subject by the time we heard the English Version. All in all, I would recommend it. As for the water poured from bridges, not likely. The boats are have a plexiglass cover, and you are protected from all eliments. James

Y'all should have seen me as a potential juror on a marijuana case. I was the only completely honest person in that courtroom! I let them have it and enlightened a few ignorant people, pissed off the one's who know the truth of the medicinal use of mj as well as our jails being overcrowded. I said ""Who are you going to let out to put this kid behind bars? A child molester so he can offend again?" Poor bastard got caught near a church or school so you KNOW he's looking at many years and I personally know of a man that raped 3 little girls and plea bargained it to three years, served 15 months and that was WITH forensic evidence. Know why? They didnt want to put the kids on the stand. MY ASS. They didn't want to have the trial. He would have received mandatory life, but he was 60 yrs old so 10 yrs was a life sentence anyway. He's been out of prison since 1990 and is still alive. Talk about Fu**ed up!!!!
