Every morning at about 9am or 10am, this bird sits right in front of my window at work, and all I can see is this bright red against all of the snow and dead trees. I like him, it makes me feel happy

 

But he's cold!

Invite him in for a cup of coffee.

 

I should! He was knocking on my window yesterday with his beak

 

I think that's the only species where the male is prettier than the female.

I don't think so. I've never seen one. But I google things !

i love birdies. we don't have those cardinals here. we do have the noisy western-scrub jays.. loud little fuckers.

 

we have A LOT of seagulls. I kinda like em actually.

 

seagulls can be entertaining for sure.

i have birds of north america, western region book. i love it! maybe i should be one of them bird scientist.. i can identify probably close to 50 different birds in california.

They seem to do a disappearing act around here every winter but the fire-hang bird still remains one of my favorites
