I remember back when that movie came out about Chavez, I caught a radio interview with someone who had done research on that farmworker's movement. He said that one of the things that had hurt the movement was that it had become too "cult like". If that's true, then that could explain somethings. Cult leaders are known for the sexual abuse of members.
Oh Wow, Cesar Chavez. Haven't heard that name in a long while. He was a West Coast guy, worshiped in California. Wilkpedia says he passed on in 1993; before the age of cell phones and thumb drives which is how todays pedoes get caught. Well what about our pedo-in-chief who was supposed to get popped any day by Epistien file disclosures? I am sure that we have many eager beaver reporters researching this. We have no secrets in this world. Will continue to check those trashy tabloids for any reveals; it may trigger an impeachment?
Oh. My, The Chavez statue is being removed. Remembering when the statue of Teddy Rooseveldt was removed from The Museem of Natural History in New York.. I enjoyed the movie: Night at The Museem. A psychedelic romp where the museem's exhibits come to life. Robbin Williams portrayed Teddy Roseveldt a brilliant interpitation. Meanwhile a banished statue of Columbus has been fished out of Baltimore Harbor and installed in DC. Our heros can be cancelled and then resurructed. Sometimes in the flash of an eye. In The book 1984, Winston Smith was at a rally in Victory Square when it was announced " We are no longer at war with Eurasia. We are now at war with Eastasia We have always been at war with Eastasia. So it goes that our heroes can be broken in short order, and be liquidated. Meanwhile our High-Wire leader remains tottering high up in the circus tent on The Wire.
I worked with the UFW in the 70s and 90s. I never met César but I did know Dolores Huerta. She is a great hero. It is obvious to me that everything currently named for Chávez should be renamed for her.
This is real Sad. Almost every community in this area are planning to remove the name of Caesar Chavez from public view. Undoubtedly the claims are true since Ms Huerta is still living. My hope is that the good things that Mr Chaves accomplishes with Ms Huerta can still be recognized, and the proven allegations be represented as an addendum to his accomplishments. Keep in mind that our president has been convicted of complicity in at least three adulterous affairs, and he is continuously adding his name to accomplishment that may have had only limited involvement. We have not heard any facts on the allegations that Trump and Epstein have been implicated with the statutory rape of a 14 year old Minor. History needs to be accurate with careful consideration, and not reflect the rantings of a political Bully.
