We're getting a bit of warmth for the weekend too, which is perfect because we have friends visiting

I'm serving fish tacos and lots of wine.

 

It might get warmer here on the weekend but the down side is they are also predicting rain. Will see if any of that comes true.

My favorite potter is having her open house this weekend. I hope to go and get a piece or two.

Just gave Grace a new chew toy. She ripped the stuffing out in the first half hour. I tied the previously filled piece into a knot so the toy is totally different. this long chew thing with a big knot in the center. Certainly not as fun as it was a half hour ago (for her).

The last toy I have on hand is for Christmas. It is supposedly made out of fire hose. Will be interesting to see how fast she can rip that sucker open.

 

It's a chilly morning here... I'm still burrowed in my blanket cave, and I don't wanna come out...it's cold and scary out there.

 

I have a theory that homeless people and the many mentally ill people who hang out downtown during the day are more likely to say hello and be friendly towards you if you're smoking a cigarette.

also....no way i'm eating a fish taco....it sounds like slang for something bad.....stay away from her...she has a case of fish taco

I only will eat halibut or the odd tuna sandwich

 

just heard on the radio the Philippine's popo went around looting the cash machines after the storm there

 

Fish tacos are great, I use sole and try it up with taco seasoning. Served with greek yogurt, diced avocado, diced tomato, and a carrot/green onion/ lime juice coleslaw

But yeah, the name sounds gross.

 

Everyone I've talked to from the Philippines says that it is ridiculously corrupt. Political candidates have to travel with personal armies to ensure their safety when they go to register as a candidate.

 

describing it dosnt make it sound any better...yet i bet it tastes good. those are all things that could go together maybe..but i would think there is a reason i never had a tomato yogurt with avocado in it..i know thats now what you said but it is the same thing.

 

I agree....doesn't make it sound better....but I don't eat crab or lobster either....not fish dude....

out of politeness I would totally eat what ever you serve

I am not above lying to avoid food at a friends....I claim to be allergic to mushrooms but I'm not....I just think they are wrong on every level


so keep in mind i'm allergic to mushrooms

 

so will it get windy before it gets warm? after all that warm weather has to get here somehow.

 

i will get one round of dishes done and start one load of laundry before 9am.

i just gotta get all this crap done. i want to get the wood i need to complete planned projects, but without everything tidy before hand i won't have room to work and adjust. a lot of the stuff i want to do can be done in stages, but they are for storage, organizing, window treatments, and holding up beds. the cold air just settles on the hardwood floor, and i NEED to get the beds up off the floor. its supposed to be chilly, but not frigid today.

maybe santa will pay my bills for me, then i can do the stuff i need to do.

 

mushrooms are okay, i used to eat a lot of them but now i don't really buy them anymore. i still get them on pizza sometime, and i'll chop a couple up to put on nachos, but that's about it.

i don't get offended if people don't like the same food as me, i'm totally willing to cook something different in order to try and make something that everyone likes. cooking for a group of friends is really fun, i love doing it. when my friends get together now we usually end up cooking together and staying in, it's a lot more fun.

 

oh, i found a little information on my revolutionary war ancestor. he was badass.

badass runs in my family. i like that i want to make a family history wall hanging.

 

I'm taking a history class right now and it has gotten me really interested in trying to find out more about my family history. I have 3 weeks off between semesters over the holidays, so I'm going to spend some time looking it up.

I know a bit about it, but not much really. I'd like to try and put together a family tree from my family, and one from my wife's as well. I know that her aunt has been working on one for a few years so hopefully I can just get her to send me a copy. I think it would be a really interesting thing to have around to show to my children one day, and it would also be cool to put it to put together a little book about the family history and give it to relatives for christmas next year.

i have a cousin that did the family tree....seemed like he went off track trying to prove royalty or some shit....more like....related to a lady that worked for king louies dry cleaner

if you search my name on the internet the only hit is my fucking stupid cousins family tree....

you could see all my relatives with their addresses and everything....my address is like 12 addresses ago so its not a big deal.....


these 10 yr old debt collectors are finding me somehow


who knew that after the seven years is up the thing comes off your credit report but they start calling you again.....fuckers....telus mobility thinks i owe them 2300 dollars and cogeco cable calls everyday for their 1800......

i now play with them...its almost enjoyable when they call

I had some fish taco's in Halifax but they weren't as fancy as yours! (That's what he said?)
